Read a good review and stopped in while on a road trip. Ribs were succulent! Smokey and tender. Their homemade BBQ sauce makes you want to dip your finger in for a taste even after the ribs are gone!

This was our first time visiting. We brought three children and two adults. We ordered a number of pancakes and egg dishes. The pancakes were the largest I’ve ever had. You could feed a small army of people from the food we ordered. Everything was tasty and the service was very Family style. We didn’t see any planes taking off however there might be other times that are. Enjoy the photos.

Food is amazing. Some of the staff not so much. We were there on a Sunday. We still had food in front of us and they asked if we could hurry up they had people waiting to sit down. I was a restaurant manager for Cracker Barrel so I know the average time it takes to turn a table. We sat there for only 30 minutes. There was a party of 8 and they were related to the staff. They were there before us and we’re still there after we left. They were never asked to hurry. Our party was only 3 people. I live in Paola and all I hear is about the rude staff. Shame we need more restaurants around here. I have worked in food my entire life. Now I’m an executive chef so I know how you’re supposed to treat people. Get your food to go. The owner obviously didn’t read my review.

Beautiful morning with one plane on the tarmac. When we left an hour and a half later the tarmac was full. Been here several times. The food is always good and plentiful. If I was just ratingthe food it would be a 4+ Waited over an hour for food and had pancakes with B&G. Not the most difficult item. A table of 8 served before us a table of 2 and they came in long after we did. Waited for a coffee warmer once and didn’t get another. The restaurant was properly staffed. I just don’t like the attitude of the lady that runs the show. She’s rude and not friendly.

Great barbecue and it’s fun to watch the planes land and take-off while you’re eating. Today I had the turkey sandwich which was excellent and my sister and I shared some baked beans and some onion rings both which were very good. It took a piece of chocolate cheesecake to go. The cheesecake is made from scratch and is always good no matter what flavor they happen to have.
