I am so glad that our google search popped up with Roll the Veg for vegan food in Sault St Marie. Not only did my family – including five kids ages 1 to 13 – have an amazingly flavorful lunch, it was affordable, the chef owner, Anthony, is charming. He makes a wide variety of dishes entirely from whole ingredients and it’s quite obvious he has an impeccable palate. I highly recommend the Korean BBQ or Asian Salad or Sliders or … yeah, whatever you get will be awesome.

I can’t possibly convey the awesomeness that is Roll the Veg. Anthony and Jamie (owners) went above and beyond, making recommendations and allowing our children to try dishes before we ordered. Our 7 year old is quite particular, and with Anthony’s help, we were able to find a dish he loved! As vegans, traveling can be stressful and always requires careful planning. We were so relieved to find a vegan restaurant in the Soo, and blown away by how delicious everything was and even more so by hospitality. We could have been dining in the owners’ home. We tried the Korean BBQ, Nachos, Scampi Alfredo, Sliders, and Crabless Roll. I’d order everything again and would love to try the rest! Whether you’re vegan or not, Roll the Veg is guaranteed to deliver a satisfying meal.

I’ve been everywhere in the country and this is the best vegan place I’ve ever been to. They make everything from scratch. The best vegan meat I’ve ever had. If anyone has tried to make vegan meat (setain) you know it’s a labor of love. They went out of their way to give us samples and basically we tried all the types of meats they make. It was so incredible. I can’t wait to order catering for thanksgiving and Christmas. Top notch food. even for non vegans this place is a must. Please visit!!!!

Anyone who knows me knows I am a big meat eater, but also can veg out at anytime. Coming here was by far the best decision I made today. The food was DELICIOUS! Cispy egg rolls, hot and melty Philly, and I am taking home a bbq korean beef’les. First time having vegan dishes, definitely will not be my last. Come get yourself some!

As a veg of 25 years who travels all over North America, Roll The Veg is a gem that should not be overlooked or passed up. I was working in Sault Ste Marie and staying in a hotel and this was perfect. Must haves are the Korean BBQ “Beef” and Beefless Stew! The ginger soy curl soup is great as well. It’s a cart inside what I believe is a department of health building, so finding from the street is difficult, but sooo worth it.
