We are in town for our niece’s event and staying at the Hilton Garden Inn. We invited family out to eat by the hotel since it was along day of traveling. We had a party of 7 that asked for a table at 8:20 and was told 30-40 minute wait, so we all sat at the bar. We all ordered drinks and they were all a sugary mess. The bartender said she was 19 and had no idea what she was doing, the old fashioned was syrupy and red, even my beer was poured into a hot glass, so every drink was messed up. I attached the empty pictures because this was how the restaurant looked when we were finally seated. EMPTY! So why did we have to wait the full 40 minutes to an hour for our table? The staff was unbelievably rude. Our waiter was Blake and I watched him snatch the menu from my mother-in-law’s hand. I would not recommend this restaurant. I usually try and only post good reviews but every now and then I have such a terrible experience that they deserve the bad review.

I would give houlihan’s a five star rating hands down! We stopped here for a small bite to eat and a drink and left very happy with full bellies. We tried the fried shrooms and chicken strips. Fried shroom sauce is amazing! You will not be disappointed with the service here either. Our waiter’s name was Dan and he was fabulous.

We very much enjoyed the food from the appetizers to our entree (the baked potato soup and mushroom appetizers are delicious). The servers/bartenders are friendly and attentive and the overall vibe was fun and enjoyable. The downside is that they have a bizarre randomly applied rule that while you may have appetizers at the bar, you may not order entrees. This is weird by itself but we stayed 2 nights and on the first night enjoyed a nice dinner at the bar. On night 2 we finished our appetizer and tried to order dinner but were notified of this rule and that while we could get on a wait list for dinner at a table or keep on ordering appetizers but no entrees. We had not ever experienced this and wish we would have been told up front.

We were seated near the bar, so it was extremely noisy, but the service was adequate, and the burgers were fantastic. Great place to go, but if you want to visit with your dinner company, ask to be seated away from the bar.
