We enjoyed our first visit to Rita’s! We were happy to learn that they use the same recipes as Little Mexico, one of our all time favorite restaurants! The queso dip and chips were excellent! We also enjoyed the beef enchiladas. The beef burrito was a bit dry-next time we will try it with macho sauce or chili. It would be nice if that was included in the price and not an added cost. The atmosphere was fun and the restaurant staff were very pleasant and helpful!

Rita’s is, by far, the best Mexican restaurant in the area. The food is flavorful and delicious (especially with macho sauce; it’s similar to enchilada sauce but even better), the servers are always friendly and helpful (Kaley is the best, but everyone is great), and the prices are definitely worth it for the quality. I’m confused by the negative reviews that I’ve read on here, because my experiences at this restaurant have never been anything but positive. If you like Mexican food and you haven’t given Rita’s a try, you’re missing out.

March 23 2023 my first time there and it was awful! Service was lousy and slow! Food came out very late! Appetizers we had to wait forever! Main course was even later! I ordered a dish with main ingredient was a green pepper and they left the stem on and it was cold! Had to keep asking waitress to get another beer! Don’t know if we’ll go back!

My friend and I came here for St. Patrick’s Day. The place was surprisingly empty (it was 40 minutes before close time). We sat at the bar and ordered two margaritas that were on special. The bartender provided exceptional customer service! The food however was very mediocre. The salsa and queso tasted like it came out of a can. We only ordered nachos and drinks. I will come back and try it again just in case the food quality was a fluke.

I agree with the comment below, that this place is just like the Little Mexico restaurant that closed. I missed their enchiladas and that best ever macho sauce, and now this place has it!! The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable, although I think we heard her saying it was her last day there. The chips and salsa were awesome, and I’m looking forward to trying the fried ice cream next time because we were just too full! Great place, definitely my new go to from now on!!

This place is amazing!! Ignore the bad reviews. I am a Mexican food connoisseur so trust me for my word here. You MUST get the enchiladas (chicken and cheese are my two favorite) with heavy macho sauce. Macho sauce (their version of enchilada sauce) and the queso are literally the best in the world. I don’t live here anymore but every time I come back from Charlotte NC I have to drive 30 minutes from my moms house to get this. Margaritas and guacamole are amazing too! This is seriously my favorite restaurant and highly recommend!! It’s a hole in the wall but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Go there and ENJOY! You’re welcome.

Really disappointed. I’ve been here many times over the years by myself and with others. Tonight I was by myself, place was pretty empty, 7ish on Thursday. I waited a bit for someone to come out, she did with a baby on her hip, I ordered a drink, she left asked someone else to make the drink, another barmaid came and made the margarita, I asked for a hand made one and we debated the tequila to use ( as usual ), she made the drink, asked me if I wanted chips and salsa, I said yes please, she brought them, I said thank you. I checked the menu, had my drink, nobody in the bar. I’m wondering if someone is going to take my order and the manager I assume comes to the bar, hands me my check and says that unfortunately that’s all I can have, please don’t come back, my girls aren’t comfortable with you here. HUH? Can I ask why? No, she said, she didn’t ask, she believes her girls. Huh.

Where to start! Tell the cook/prep in the kitchen to shave or cover his zz-top long Beard he was wearing a hat but his uncovered beard down to brest.and what is up with one of the waitresses carrying a 8 Month old baby around in and out of the kitchen for at least the entire hr I was there carrying hot food with both hands with baby in her arms(against board of health too boot).now let’s get to the food, wow Taco meat just plain ground hamburger (pass the katcup it was nothing but a cheese burger). chicken quesadilla same just ground chicken (dry) with pizza Cheese hardly any onions peppers and completely unsliced I had to cut the quesadilla myself. If you add mayonnaise it would be a chicken salad sandwich.chicken burrito same as quesadilla just rolled up.FLAVOR IS IN THE SAUCES AND MEAT FLAVOR MIX that was not added to anything. I have gotten better flavor Mexican food from gas station grab and go!
