First time trying The Black Horse Tavern . First thing we noticed was that it looks closed from outside. Once you open the door it was pretty lively inside. It was about 7pm on a Friday night (not bad wait time). We checked out the menu while we waited. There were several things that sounded good. My wife and I usually share because shes a light eater but I’m not so the the portion has to be decent for this to work. We decided on the potato soup and Blackened chicken fettuccine. We ordered the bowl size soup which was large and came with a huge peice of one of the moistest cornbread ever!!. The Blackened chicken fettuccine was creamy and delicious with perfectly cooked chicken and came with garlic bread. The server was Michelle and did the best she could with how busy it was. We are already planning out next trip!! Not forgetting how frugal I am they currently had a groupon deal you could purchase to save a bunch of money!! First time trying out the food , also used delivery. The food IS Amazing & DELICIOUS . Love it. I ordered myself the steak sandwich JUST WHAT I WAS CRAVING , STEAK & Sandwich. The other dishes were also GREAT. The chicken in the pasta is so juicy and has so much flavor !

I’ll give it a 3 the steak was way too rough for a ribeye and def wasn’t hot medium well .. the garlic bread is great and man the chicken pot pie soup was delicious it would’ve been a 5 if it wasn’t for the steak the knife couldn’t even cut it .. but everything else was delicious

First time here, it was a Friday, and I expected it to be busy as it was a bar and grill. The biggest problem I had is that our waitress cared more about what I’m guessing to be regular customers’ cars getting towed for parking where prohibited. We had a long day and after getting our food it took forever to get our bill because she was tending to all the commotion of the other customers and their cars. Food was good but the service that night wasn’t great for me. Again, you can’t be mad at the tow truck driver for towing your car when you park in a place that clearly says patrons of that restaurant only!

I recently took my mother here for her birthday. We’ve been coming here for years (for the hangar steak-IYKYK) but this time, the food just wasn’t as good as it usually is. She ordered the patty melt (which comes with bleu cheese, which I thought was odd-but maybe that’s just me) and I had the hangar steak, med-rare. The steak arrived well done, so they corrected this. But by the time my dish was corrected, my mother was almost finished with her meal. Also, the mixed vegetables it came with originally (which are SO good here) were returned to me with just about all broccoli . The steak was VERY rare-which was better than well done, and at that point-we just didn’t want to wait for them to correct the dish a second time.

My husband and I have been coming here for eight years. Anytime my family or friends are in town, this our go to place to take them. I recommended the pulled pork entrée. It’s delicious and so is everything else! I highly recommend you try this restaurant!

Our first time here, very pleased! The staff is friendly and engaging. The drinks were good and the food was delicious! We had the Boneless Chicken Wings, the Turkey Bacon & Avocado Sandwich and the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. Highly recommended items. We will definitely come back!

The burgers are very good here, and if you haven’t, try their sweet potato fries, thin, crispy and great seasoning. Drinks are well made and on Thursday they have hangar steak special. Looked really yummy. Try their desert, bread pudding. Makes your mouth happy and a great finish with whatever you had before!
