Breakfast was good. I am curious what dinner could be like here. They have a Mayberry cookbook. It suggests to me that they could possibly do homecooking well. The staff was quite friendly.

Very disappointed. Promote home cooking etc…. Even has a pic of Andy Griffin show saying welcome to Maybury… but this place is a bad Iron Skillet. I don’t think they have a cook. Green beans had no flavor out of the can . Instant mashed potatoes and gravy are as expected. Hamburger Steak was a small hamburger patty for $ 10.99….crazy. Had a side salad for $2.49 think the waitress cut a thin slice of tomato in quarters, LOL. I try to patronize these places but hard to do when you can get better food from Pilots warmer..

THEY Serve leftover food. Asked for it cooked fresh. They brought me the same plate of food I sent to the kitchen. I gave the service 1 star. “she” a very pretty girl. That agreed with them. Said she didn’t see anything wrong.

We wanted quick dinner a long drive and checking into our hotel. This place was next door so we took a chance on it. Boy am I glad we did. This was the BEST breakfast for dinner we have ever had in a restaurant. I think this is the first time we didn’t have anything leftover to bring back to our dogs lol. The eggs were perfectly cooked sunny side up. Ham was tender and delicious. Bacon was perfectly crunchy just the way I love it. Hash browns were crispy but not burnt. Leah was our friendly, polite and attentive waitress who would check on us every time she passed by. The dining area is huge so being crowded wasn’t a problem. The entire place was very clean. It is attached to a “truck stop” so I wouldn’t call it fine dining with a well dressed clientele. But, not a sleazy place like other locations of that type. We got there about 9pm there were only a few people eating there. It’s probably more full of “truckers” earlier around breakfast and lunch. We can’t say anything bad about our experience. The food and service was exemplary.

The food was good. Beef tips were tender and good but not as flavorful as they used to be. Only one waitress working, apparently a new one, so she gets the benefit of the doubt. I would love to see this place back to its former glory. It had the best food.

The reviews are not too high, but the Tuna Melt on Rye with Swiss and American cheese was fantastic! Just the right portion.

Haven’t been here in years because during the ‘Rona, they couldn’t get enough staff in to keep the doors open consistently & i just gave up trying.

Food was delicious and service was fantastic and inside very clean. Best truck stop restaurant we have ate at since before covid hit. Its very hard to find good food and service all in one place but we did. This restaurant is awesome! Highly recommend! Thank you to our waitress, Leah B. for your great service.

Always one of my favorite places to stop. After 23 years on the road, it’s good that decent restaurants and good food is still available here, where as everywhere else seems to be going to fast food. The waitress I had tonight was attentive and friendly. Always a pleasant experience here

Had the fried chicken was very flavorful and cooked to perfection. Had the corn bread green beans and sweet tea. Sweet tea was great. Green beans were typical restaurant green beans salt and pepper is on the table for you to season them. Over all no complaints the waitress was very nice and welcoming. Would recommend. Checking this hidden gem out.
