As you walk into the restaurant, you can just see and feel the history surrounding this establishment. After gazing over the vast variety of classics in the menu, I Settled on the frank Napoleon submarine. It was a simple, yet mastered classic. The lunchmeat was fresh and juicy. The lettuce was bright green and fresh. The biggest thing that stood out to me, was the bread. It was soft and airy, yet firm enough to hold in all that goodness. Our waitress was friendly and even gave us a mini history lesson about the restaurant. I’m looking forward to going back and trying other things on the menu.

The customer service was outstanding. But for a deli the sandwich was ok. I went because of its history. I thought being open so long Fossati’s was the deli to eat at. Not the case. Unfortunately! Beautiful place and cool old decor.

Stopped in for a late lunch right before they closed. This was my sister and I’s first visit and it was delicious! Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We loved the history behind the building and business.

My first time getting a lunch here and it was absolutely amazing. I haven’t had a sandwich this good in years. The staff were friendly and my lunch came out quickly. Thank you guys for a great experience! I will definitely be coming back in.

So cute! Oldest delicatessen in Texas! The food was delicious and the service was great. We split the cheese spread appetizer and the muffalata and we were stuffed!

My wife and I went for the sandwiches but enjoyed the “Oldest Delicatessen in Texas” friendly staff and a great dessert. I had the “Dutch Lunch” and my wife had Pita Club both were delicious. Make sure you save room for dessert, we waited for the Apple Krisp to come out of the oven to come out of the oven and it was well worth it.

The place is like being in Europe, old and basic but classic. Coffee is great and food ok. They are good but I feel “Jason’s Deli” will be more my kind of place for a sandwich in Victoria. Staff had long faces and zero music. They were amazed my family and I ride bicycles to lunch! So weird!!
