The dining area is small so they cannot accommodate too many groups at one time but it is overall a cute homey restaurant and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The AC happened to be out when I went to pick up my takeout, but they had several fans to accommodate their dine in guests. The sushi was pretty pricey as compared to other places however they did have some unique options that I haven’t seen offered elsewhere or at least that I’m not aware of elsewhere like the steak rolled sushi roll. Overall the food quality was top notch and I would definitely try them again.

Fuji Sushi is the best sushi restaurant in Lafayette, LA. It’s rated highest by Facebook’s Foodies of Lafayette. They follow the traditional roots of sushi—the formality of it all. Warm towels are provided upon arrival and again after dinner. It’s a small place that allows so much attention to detail. Ginger is amazing as front of house hostess and server—if she’s seen you once, she will remember you and what you like to drink. Miso soup is complimentary, as well as the beautiful oranges afterward. Tik is the sushi chef and creates beautiful rolls and plating. Check out their love boat! Wow. Every time we visit, it’s as if we were invited to their home for dinner. It’s a hidden gem in Lafayette, and it’s fantastic.

The sushi was very good, fresh fish with subtle sweetness and perfect rice. Super sweet service, gave me complimentary miso soup, orange, and gave me a hot matcha refill to go. Perfect for a cold, rainy evening after a long conference.

I’ve traveled half the US and haven’t received the quality of service given at Fuji anywhere else. The staff went out of their way to make it a personable dining experience. Our waitress found me a pair of reading glasses after noticing I was having trouble seeing the menu. They were very observate and brought what was needed without us having to ask. Would rate this place 10/10!

Wonderful dining experience. Food is delicious, portions are large, presentation is great, hospitality is very welcoming (complementary miso soup and finishing oranges, warm hand towel washes was a nice touch) and menu is diverse enough to suit any pallette. Atmosphere is very traditional. Not a negative thing to say about the place, absolutely lives up to the hype – truly one of the lesser known Lafayette gems

The most amazing dining experience that we keep coming back from Houston for! The owners are such a treat to interact with and they take care of you like royalty. Everything is fresh and bought locally. Everything that we’ve had off the menu has been fantastic. Will be back every chance we get!
