We stopped in for Thursday night dinner. A little crowded but seated right away. App special was a tamal, beautiful presentation and tasty (vegetarian ). Had $5 house margarita and $5 Tecate. Dinner was good as El mundo menu high end Mexican, not what you get at regular mex restaurants. A go to place in Louisville.

I had the Bison Enchiladas with Verde sauce and She had the Muscles. We both washed it down with margaritas and finished off with Mike’s special cheesecake. It was all wonderful. I highly recommend and we can’t wait to go back.

I was really excited to try their vegan queso but it should be called anything but queso as it has no resemblance to any queso vegan or otherwise. Chips were cold, hard and not salted. The salsa was more like pics de gallo. No salsa at all. And you pay for chips and salsa here.

Absolutely THE WORST SERVICE! Me and my husband went to enjoy happy hour… I ordered a burrito and he ordered the vegan cheese nachos no meat. The server brought out the nachos with meat. He used to be a server so he was very patient and sweet about asking to send it back. The server rolled her eyes and never went back to our table. Ignored us purposefully every time she walked by. We asked to speak to the manager…. She repeated and I quote “do we have a problem I am the manager?” We paid and left.

Was really excited to try the new location after being away from louisville for 5+ years. I had high hopes and was very disappointed. I used to consider El Mundo one of the best Mexican places in louisville but my recent trip was extravagantly overpriced for the quality of food I got. I got the shrimp tacos and was hoping for some fresh, delicious tacos and instead I got two measly barely flavored tacos with lettuce. Could have made something better at home and saved $20. Additionally I was very disappointed with the salsa that came with the tacos. Was the only flavorful thing on the plate and the portion was pitifully small. In conclusion you’re better off remembering how the place was 5 years ago than making the trip to the new location.

El Mundo used to be one of the best places in town but they seem to be struggling with their operations. The last few times we have visited we waited about an hour for our food and didn’t really have an appetite by the time it arrived. It’s a shame because we really used to enjoy going here.

Extensive menu. My vegetarian friends and I had plenty of options, and everything we got was really good. Now, there aren’t any super creative dishes, but there were great versions of all the classic dishes that you would expect to find at a Mexican restaurant.
