We ordered bison burgers medium, pink in middle. They arrived well done with cold French fries. The flavor of bison is totally changed when overcooked. We pushed our plates aside & split desert. We didn’t complain, just won’t go back.

We came right at 11. We were seated right away. Christian was our waiter. He was very pleasant, and it didn’t take long at all to get our food. My husband ordered bison meatloaf as always. We had bison nachos. I had the Avalon burger and kale salad. Everything was just great! We have never had a bad experience here, so I’m surprised to see some negative reviews.

Really disappointed. Ordered the Bison Delmonico Ribeye rare from the bar, watched the chef cook it while the manager talked and talked and talked to him. Watched him plate the food and watched the food sit and sit and sit while they talked and talked and talked.

Walked in and never got greeted by anyone. It wasn’t a busy time (probably 5:30PM). Bartender wiping down the counter.. servers doing side work nearby… no one said anything to us until we turned around to leave. First (and last) time in. It was so bizarre.

Service initially was pretty quick, but after ordering our main dishes, we waited easily over 45 minutes for our food. Our children ordered burgers, which they liked (only comment would be they could use more seasoning). My husband ordered the braised bison short ribs, which were flavorful but were dry, and the sauce was super thin. He ordered the parm crusted broccoli and the Mac and cheese, which were both very disappointing (To be honest, I’m surprised the chef put them out). The broccoli was steamed with parm cheese sprinkled over top, and the Mac and cheese were elbow noodles in milk with a little melted cheese on top. Our 14 year old makes homemade Mac and cheese better, hands down. I had the bison filet with the garlic mash potatoes, which were both very tasty and the one saving element for the food review. Our waitress was very attentive and nice. Overall, for the money spent, I would not recommend it.
