Excellent place to have tasty delicious margaritas or Bloody Marys! Make sure to have the fresh made salsa & chips. The salsa is fabulous. Try the eggs Benedict. It’s so flavorful and yummy. Superb service and friendly owners. You cannot miss this place while in Padagonia.

First I want to emphasize that any reviews posted prior to the first week in December are for the previous restaurant at this location. The current MJ restaurant, with Michelle and Judson as owners, opened on 12/4/2018 so these earlier Google reviews should be ignored. Hoping that Google will delete these, in fairness to the current MJ owners.

Stopped here for lunch. Nona’s tacos and pork tenderloin tacos were great as were the margaritas and bloody Mary’s. Service was a bit slow due to a problem in the kitchen, but we weren’t in a hurry. Very nice and attentive server. Will definitely return!

I hate giving bad reviews but this was the worst meal I’ve had in a long time. Fish and chips? Ha! More like fried batter patties with a vague fish oil flavor. Soup was ok but barely, and overpriced. There’s not a lot of choice in Patagonia but every place else is far better than this. The folks that run it are nice but not the food.

Food was great, we had two shredded beef tacos rice and beans… tacos were great, rice was good too… just not much of it… maybe two tablespoons worth… for $9.50 you would expect a little more? Good food , small portions

Reviews prior to the date of this one are for a different restaurant with a different name at the same location that closed. MJ’s had its opening night this evening. Its right on the highway as you come through town. I was lucky to try this new place in Patagonia tonight. Smallish space with 7-8 tables and a nice covered outside patio for warmer times. Varied and interesting menu. I stuck with my favorite in this part of the country… Mexican. I had the pork tenderloin tacos. It was a combo plate with rice and beans. Tacos smelled and tasted great. They came with a very nice slaw dressing. The salsa’s were fresh and flavorful. Even the rice was tasty. That says something. While I didn’t imbide they also have a liquor license. Menudo and posole were also on the menu but didn’t try them (yet). Give ’em a try. I was very impressed with my meal.

Food was just ok. My plate was microwaved multiple times. The salsa was good and the staff were quick and nice. Also was a little pricy. Serving sizes weren’t that big. Would have been one star besides the staff

Food came out cold, only thing warm was the beans. When asked for warm food they microwaved my plate amd brought it back. For the price only 1/3 of the portion expected was served.
