Great place to eat….and I’m not a BBQ or Smokehouse kinda girl. Food was delicious, waitress was amazing and happy (even as busy as she was), and hostess/owner/bartender Jamie makes you feel welcomed! So wonderful, we did 2 nights in a row on a recent visit to SW Wisconsin.

Pretty darn good prime rib would definitely put the hit on it again. Will be awhile before I’m back there again but the plan is to start out with this cheese cake desert that looks like it was deep fried. Was totally stuffed when the entire next table got it. Oh my God it looked good…….

This place is a standout in all of SW Wisconsin. Jamie runs a fun welcoming bar, where everyone is always up to greet a new face and figure out who you know in common. The food is stellar. The owners come from KC, and it shows. The baked beans are amazing! (Me: Jamie, how much sugar is in here? Jamie: We measure with our heart.) I love the pulled pork and hash browns. The Sunday chicken is good too. My mom now lives just up the road from the Anker, and you can bet it’s where I’ll be whenever I fly back to the motherland.
