The food is good quality, and you get very generous portions!! However, dining in takes forever to be served. I highly suggest you call ahead and get it to go. This is a mom and pop establishment literally run by a small family who does everything so it feels understaffed at times. That being said, if you’re in the mood for Thai, no other place will give you more bang for your buck 🙂

I love the food at Royal Bangkok. That being said, the service is some of the worst anywhere I have been. Takes over an hour to receive your food. My husband and I have gotten there at 5 pm only to be turned away by the waitress saying they are too busy. Only two tables had people seated and they close at 8:30 pm. Today, knowing how long it takes for them to cook your food, we tried to take a proactive approach and call in our order. Their phone went straight to a recording stating their hours. We decided to go anyway, when we got there my husband asked if they had changed their number for take out and the waitress informed that no, she was just too busy to answer the phone. There was hardly anyone there. And she then informed him it would be over an hour wait. We left. It is such a shame. Their food is delicious. Best Thai around and you get enough for three meals.

Still one of our fave restaurants in town. They only do take out now, but when you see the portion sizes you won’t be mad 🙂 I highly recommend the spring rolls and pad thai, but everything I’ve ever had here was great. Plus the owners are nice, hard-working people that I would much rather give my money to then a chain restaurant.

Bad service! Went for lunch. Ordered 3 different dishes, water, & sweet tea. We received 2 spring rolls w/each order. 1 dish came out in about 15 min after we ordered. The waitress never came by to refill our drinks. After 40 min, we decided to forget the other 2 dishes b/c we were going to be late back to work. They said they make to order but 40 min is too long. They charged us for 1 dish, 4 spring rolls, & tea. It was ridiculous since we had no choice but to eat all the spring rolls b/c our food never came. Don’t go if you don’t have hours to wait! Plus its not that great. Have had better food, service, & pricing at other places.

Simply awesome. If you like thai food, this place is as authentic as you can get. I love it. From the thai tea to the chicken spring rolls, to the shrimp wonton soup, this place has delicious food. Take out only. Husband and wife from Thailand with a great system. The only thing is, there is a wait for food but for it to be just a few people in the restaurant, they make it work. Great people and efficient.

Food wise fantastic, service wise absolutely horrible. I’ve been by multiple times during so called operating hours and they were closed. Tried at different times to call and place an order and nobody picks up the phone, if (and that’s a big if) they do answer they will hang up on you, or tell you it will take an hour for 2 orders then call you back 15mins later and tell you it’s ready.

Portions are huge, especially the Thai iced tea. The pad Thai was different than I am used to but still very good. They didn’t skimp on meat and it was perfectly cooked. My family ordered chicken fried rice, drunken noodles and the seafood poe tak. Everyone loved their meals.

A local gem. They serve fresh, prepared from scratch meals. The outside looks a little broken down, but do not let it fool you! Janet, the chef, often comes out to check on her guests and asks if they are enjoying their meals. One note, however, is on spice. I usually get medium spiciness at Thai restaurants, but her “mild” is PLENTY spicy, so be careful. If you don’t do hot, then make sure to order ” no spice”.

Good food and a good prices. How spices you wanted it can be too you likes or even as hot as hour can’t eat. And the thai tea is the best in goldsboro the amount you get for the price isn’t matched anywhere.
