Sunrise Pita & Grill was established in 1998 by an Israeli born chef who specialized in Middle Eastern cuisine. Since 1998, our goal has been to bring traditional Israeli street food to South Florida. All of our food is fresh and made to order. We specialize in shawarma (rotisserie layers of turkey and lamb) and falafel (ground chickpeas and spices). You can order a variety of meat on the grill, such as chicken shishkabab, beef shishkabab, young chicken, ground beef kabob, chicken cutlet and more.
We also offer a variety of more than homemade salads and spreads, ranging from hummus to babaganush to Turkish salad and pickled cabbage.

Hummus and all the sides/salads were delicious! However, the chicken shawarma was full of both chewy and hard fat pieces. The workers were quick and helpful. The air was pretty heavy from the smoke coming off the grill. I would suggest getting some fans in there to circulate the air. If I go back, I would try a different meat.

The ownership here deserves all the acclaim for how incredible this place is. Everything is fresh, and you can taste the love they put into their craft. Honestly some of the most friendly and loving people that have ever served me food. I’ve been here already 4 times and not once has their quality of service even dipped. I will surely be back. The pick up during lunch time with people placing orders in the same line as those who ordered online could be better coordinated. If I ordered online and see orders on the side, why must I wait another 10-15 minutes because there is a line of people placing orders—which takes longer than a pickup. Separating the ordering process inside from the online orders waiting for pickup would make the process more enjoyable

Tried this place today for the first time and it was the best lunch I’ve had in a long time!! I ordered the falafel plate and it was absolutely delicious!! Amazing food and atmosphere. I love that you always get fresh food that is always delicious and super fast. I’ve been eating at this location since it opened and their Sunrise location for over 10 years. They have definitely invested in upgrading the look and feel over the last few year which I love to see and also adding new fun items to the menu. I’m never disappointed. I tried something new today “Sweet Chili Schnitzel” off the specials menu and it was great!

Very bad name… Needs to be called Heaven Pita and Grill because that’s the level of flavor we’re talking here. I’m kind of a falafel connoisseur, in my own mind at least, and I’ve never had such a good falafel. Not over fried, perfect balance of crust to soft center, and seasoned to a perfect level. Customer service was superb. It was crazy busy and I was hankering for seconds and the guy was like, “don’t worry, i got you covered with a big smile.” Tables and counters were clean even with the crowd. All their salads are fresh and to perfection! Broward needs to make an ordinance against residents who don’t at least try this place. Lol.

I love this place! Everything has great flavor! For me I get the young chicken because I love chicken thighs and they are always cooked perfectly. I sometimes get the pita sandwich or the platter but I end up making a pita sandwich out of the platter lol. I never take a picture of the food because I devour it instantly!
