we stopped at the 6th Street dive today in Lafayette for a $9 old school huge tenderloin. I prefer a smaller thicker tenderloin but this was definitely a five-star traditional. nicely seasoned with a crispy coating. and tater tots crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. service was also tops. we were riding our bikes and they filled our water bottles with water and ice. two of us struggled to finish one of these tenderloins.

Dive Bar is always a good time. Good drinks good food, good atmosphere. Great weather while we were there so the garage doors were up… a favorite! Happy to see off street parking lot now, too! We enjoyed some adult beverages and the awesome nachos. Yum!

Food is excellent! We had the fried pickles, tamales, fried chicken and tacos. The fried foods were a bit oily, but nice and crisp! The Mexican was really flavorful and fresh. Will be back!

Very good service. Pretty decent beer selection as well. The foods are where this place shines. They offer some very unique dishes, with a tendency toward Tex-Mex. This is really kind of a little gem in this particular area. My only qualms are with the slightly tight atmosphere and limited parking. Other than that, this place is quite good and offers some of best unique bar food around.

If this is the new “Dive , I’m not impressed at all. Our server brought us drinks rather quickly , nice and they we good . but took forever for a food order.. we got ground beef nachos.. chips are like biting wet card board.. they just sprinkled beef over the top .. this is a pathetic effort ..super disappointing.. we love this place .. guess we don’t plan on eating there ..
