When I got to the restaurant around 7:45 pm on 7/22/2023. I have to say I was taken aback by how nice the place looked, I was admire the charm of the place. As I walked in I was greeted by the very nice host. I told her I had a rsvp for 8:15 but I was here early and it would be one instead of two and if bar seating was available I would take that. I was seated at a high top because the bar itself was full and I just wanted to make sure everyone had room to breathe. As I sat there at the table the bartender on the right side looked at me twice and not once greeted me nor acknowledge me. I sat at that table for a good minute (15mins) until he asked Smokie not sure if she was the manager or not to see what I wanted. To me that instantly put a damper on my experience because even if you were busy you could have acknowledged and said I’ll be with you shortly. Something that the bartender did do that I did not like at all was the fact a couple came in after me and he instantly went over and took their drink orders now what kind of a mess is that?

We really enjoyed our experience at the Hunter House this past Saturday night. Our cocktails were excellent, I recommend you have everyone in your group try a different cocktail so you can experience all of the choices! The watermelon salad was delicious and the flourless chocolate cake was to die for. The atmosphere was perfect for date night, but I also look forward to going back with friends and requesting a table on the porch.

Tl;dr: glad I went. Don’t see a reason for us to go back tbh. A $128 tab for 2 entrees of grits and meat + 2 cocktails seemed a bit overpriced for my taste.

First time at this beautiful estate the last week of April with a colleague – I’m from KC and he’s from Charlotte.

Went for the first time with a dinner reservation as part of the Queen’s Feast, and because reservation fell on the 12th which happened to be part of their Valentine’s day dates, we ended paying $40 a person instead of $30 for the same dish offerings. The entree’ portions were a little on the small side and not enough when you’re quite hungry, but on the plus side, they were delish. I was skeptical about the meatloaf because it came with grits, but I was immensely surprised at how good it was. Loved the sweet potato cornbread. The chocolate mousse torte was dense and so rich. Not for someone who don’t like sweets too much. For Rose’ wine lover, the AIX Rose’ had a more white wine flavor to it. Overall, it was a great experience. Christine, our server was wonderful.

It was a small but private party last Saturday night at Hunter House & Gardens, roughly 25 people in attendance. Our party located on the veranda adjacent to the original bar included a private bartender and server; cocktail tables wrapped in sleek black table cloths with decorative lighting were located throughout the area; The food, prepared by Chef Justin, included a grazing board with sliders and an array of finger foods was outstanding; staff was attentive, pleasant and well-versed in areas of hospitality. As I reminisce on this special occasion, several words come to mind…stunning, elegant and breathtaking. Definitely a destination for future celebrations!

This is an absolute GEM in Huntersville!!! The handcrafted drinks will simply blow you away, tipped with fresh cut flowers. The food was delicious and the service was top tier. Very impressed!!! The lawn area is so beautiful.

We had an amasing experience here! We came to celebrate a birthday and had no idea that there would be such personal touches to our dinner and cocktails. They really went above and beyond to make the experience special and unique.
