The BEST value around for COMFORT food! Recommended by a local. Reasonable prices, mounds of food, and TASTY! Spam saimin, beef shortribs, & chicken katsu were ALL delicious and plentiful. Service was efficient and dining area was clean but sparely decorated, but who cares as long as the food is GOOOOD and you have a place to sit!!!!

Holy Macaroni! This place has HUGE portions. Like twice the size of Mo Bettah’s and it’s priced very competitively. Probably best bang for buck in the area. Tasted great and staff was friendly.

Normally, I avoid writing about chain restaurants. How different can they be? This one was different because locals were coming in getting their food. The food was good, the service was good and I loved every bite. The atmosphere was average and what you can expect at L&L, but like I said the local residents were there getting their takeout.

This is my favorite L&L location for their chicken katsu and katsu curry. I would recommend getting the mini size unless you are super super hungry; it is almost the same amount of food, but the regular has a tiny bit more meat and a lot more rice. Each L&L location has slightly different katsu sauce and I must say that this location’s sauce flavor is by far my favorite. The outdoor seating is nice and you can usually count on the company of the famous wild chickens. The family that runs the restaurant is also very friendly.

I was starving after our visit to the Polynesian Cultural Center. I found L&L Hawaiian Barbecue but ordered Loco Moco. Presentation wise was horrible but I like the flavor. The lady who took the order was pleasant but it took them almost 10 mins to prepare the food. So far, the flavor matters the most. I’ll give it a 4/5.

L&L Hawaiian Barbecue offers a wide variety of island favorites. I heard somebody say it was essentially Hawaiian fast food and I think that’s accurate. I ordered the BQ plate which included rice, mac salad, hamburger steak, and ribs. The hamburger steak was thinly sliced and had good flavor. The ribs were okay but awfully fatty. You should expect to spend around $15 per person. If you need a quick fix for some Hawaiian food this place will do but if you have time you can find better options.

Have heard about L&L for years.

Very friendly, great portions and food was yummy! Due to covid there is no indoor seating. But there are a few tables outside. Great stop for casual dinning.

Utter garbage. The food does not taste good, they got our order wrong, the wait is long. Probably the worst eating experience I’ve had on Oahu. Took a few bites and chucked the rest. The parking was plentiful so they do have that going for them.

The food was horrible and we asked for teriyaki sauce was mixed with soy sauce and they charged 75 cents for “teriyaki” sauce the fries tasted and smelled like fish the hamburgers were plain and included nothing when we ordered the deluxe burger. Wouldn’t recommend for other people who are coming to Hawaii
