We love two hours from this place. A definite destination place when out on a nice bike ride. Today was no different. The owners/ family treat everyone like long-lost friends. Even the customers greet other customers with love and smiles. The food is so DELICIOUSLY GOOD! If you have a chance, you must stop by. You won’t be disappointed.

Stopped for a quick bite in drive home from Galena-family run headed by grandson at register…suggested the BBQ Sho-boat with a pork Sammie and fries and a side of Mac. Excellent and reasonably priced-worth a trip back.

A true gem of a smokehouse. Real good food cooked right. The customer’s politeness and a smile goes a long way for those whose hard work and love goes into making this delicious food. Highly recommend.

I felt like I was at home. Their customer service was the best I have ever experienced. I am so picky and grade customer service everywhere I go. Probably because my life career has always been in a form of Customer Service. The food and sauce was amazing. Great job Smokehouse… make me proud

Small off the road place attached to gas station. Small location, limited tables, but welcoming and homey. The servers and service are exemplary. As soon as you walk in the restaurant, they want you to know that you are welcome .

The lady was very nice and welcoming..food not so good. I had the sho boat…which is pulled pork on a grilled bun.. the meat was salty and cover in sauce so I could not taste any flavor other than sauce and salt. also, my meat was really fatty. Service was nice…but I think I can pass on coming back here.

Had the shoboat. Food was amazing. Owner was extremely friendly and helpful. You could really tell that they care about their customers and take pride in what they do. The best prices I’ve seen for food in a long time, especially for the quantity and quality of what you’re receiving.

Small place with fantastic BBQ. Super friendly staff. The only downside was that we went when it was 90° out and they don’t have air conditioning. We were sweating our butts off, but thoroughly enjoying delicious BBQ, fries, and mac n cheese. All were excellent.

Food was absolutely amazing. Meat was tender and was blown away by the flavor. Hospitality was amazing, and you can tell they are wholesome people. Only paid $20 for best pork I’ve had in awhile and got a free drink!! Was 1.2 hour drive would would be more than happy to make the drive again.

A cool family the food tastes like your Autie made it. The one that’s cooks once every 5 years and the whole family come. The pork shoulders were off the chain. The spaghetti was fire everything good. Can’t wait for another load to Rockford!!!!!
