Based on my new lifestyle changes I have been going around to the local sushi restaurants trying their chirachi bowls. My expectations for the chirachi bowl was kind of blown out of the water. For $19 the amount of fish that you get it is by far the best deal I have run across not to mention the fish was fresh and tasty. I haven’t tried too many other things on their menu but if this is a sign then there are other stuff must also be great. I would highly recommend this place

Just tried this out for the first time and don’t get the reviews – the rolls have soooo much rice. Like… wayyyyy too much… double or triple?! I had to take off rice first before I was able to eat it. If you like a lot of rice on your rolls, be my guest, but if you’re a typical sushi eater, you might be disappointed… thumb in picture for scale reference

Place looks ok— food is ok sushi was big but taste awful for me I rather eat normal size sushi my friend recommended this place and got me so hype about it but omg I didn’t enjoy their food at all teriyaki salmon no seasoning just the sauce on top that didn’t even taste good— ordered udon stir fry chicken & vegetables but only spinach and chicken and it was so salty! Anyway overall experience was not happy me and my husband agreed we’re not coming back.

I have been coming here many times for a great sushi menu. We always ate sushi only. While they have the traditional sushi rolls, they also have many “crunchy” rolls with tempura crumbs, tempura shrimp or soft shel crab. They have “deep fried” rolls that are dipped in tempura batter and quickly dipped in hot oil. Very delicious! But today i decided to try other dishes from the menu, like the tempura plate, Chicken Karaage, soft shell blue crab and nigiri sushi.

Spicy hamachi rolls were a bit strange on the spice, it was a spice with a sour flavor, kind of like korean kimchi kind of spicy. But it not bad without soy sauce. Would probably want to try the alternative non spicy r the single roll.

#1 Best Sushi restaurant. I’ve traveled across the country and Toyos sushi is the best my husband and I ever have. Service here is quick and friendly. Not so hidden gem. We don’t live in the bay anymore but when we visit we always plan a meal at least once here.
