We really enjoyed our experience here today. The service still needs a little work, but I could tell they were trying hard. The food was excellent. I think they live up to their reputation of being authentic Mexican food as evidenced by the number of Hispanic people in the restaurant. I’m talking working-class folks who probably immigrated here in some form or fashion but know what authentic food is like.

Food is good, service always leaves a lot to be desired every time I go (slow, long waits for service/food, napkins/utenils, non-existent drink refills, waiting for check which can be especially problematic on a lunch break). Last visit, they have added a 3% upcharge to use a card for payment, which is just awkward at the register. I get passing the cost along to the customer, but simply raise prices by 3% and skip the conversation about needing to charge extra — there’s a reason this is not a common practice in the restaurant industry.

If i could give it more than 5 stars…. I would’ve. Food is fresh and authentic, not like the microwave hero restaurants. Staff is wonderful and super caring. I would recommend this establishment to anyone wanting a taste of old Mexico… 5+

First Mexican restaurant I have EVER been to in my life that had no idea what pollo loco was. also, never have I EVER been served “Mexican rice” with corn, peas, and carrots in it. Huge disappointment. The waiter did try to have the cook make my pollo loco, I should have known better than to order it. The chicken was gross idk what seasoning was put on it but I didn’t eat any of it it was that awful. Staff was very friendly, but will not be back. Should have went to mi pueblitos. ♀️

Such a great place to eat! The menu is in Spanish with English translation underneath. The prices are resonable. 2 of us ate for $20 & we both had to get to go boxes to take home with us. The food was delicious & the staff were very welcoming. The restaurant has beautiful murals on the walls & everywhere you look are splashes of color. I loved everything about this restaurant, the atmosphere, the food, the service & the people.

1st visit. They opened recently – around 3 weeks prior to this review. Meals were tasty, served in good time, good portions, at nice prices. Service was wonderful at early dinner time.
