Quaint little place actually seats more than expected. We came for breakfast .. It was busy. We were seated within a few minutes of arriving and didn’t wait long to get beverages and place our order. And then we waited, and waited.. we were out of coffee and after about 30 minutes I went to the counter with our cups and the young lady who sat us happily refilled our cups. Our food came out about 5 minutes later. We were not frustrated or anything… But our waitress was MIA for such a long time. I’m fine with a self service refill station and perhaps that is needed as clearly it’s a popular, busy place. Food was very good and yes we would likely go again.

Will never return. We were seated right away as it wasn’t busy at all. After sitting there for 5-10 minutes, we asked for menus. Another 5-10 minutes went by until someone came over to take our order. Over 45 minutes after we placed our order and started to wonder where our food was, they came over and said that they couldn’t serve the turkey for the turkey club sandwich because it was too old. They should have told us this when we tried to order. We said we’d just leave and they didn’t even apologize. A waste of time and horrible service.

Got seated in 30 minutes which is fair considering it was busy at the time. When we sat the diner had cleared out and we ordered right away. It took 75 minutes to get our food and not once did the waitress come to fill our waters or ask for any other beverages or tell us the food is coming soon. The food was not great. The fries were cold and soggy, over cooked Mac and cheese. Terrible service and not good food. The couple sitting next to us apologized how they got their food before us because they got there way after us and said we were being very respectful and patient. I would not commend this place at all. The water tasted like pool water with chemicals almost like chlorine. There were black bits in my water. Worst service I’ve ever had even when it was empty in the restaurant. The staff was unapologetic and refused to take some responsibility of the overdue service. The waitress refused to come over after we waved her down to speak. She made eye contact with us and looked away and continued to stand while no other customers were being helped.

We came in around 7am on a Tuesday, only one waitress seen working the floor (but 2 others helping by the time we left). Atmosphere was mostly locals, not any families. Inside was clean, well-lit, and calm. The placemats had games (tictactoe, dots-n-lines, etc) to play, but no writing implements at the table. Drinks came quickly and orders taken in a timely fashion. Normal wait time for food. I ordered Irish Benedict and the corned beef hash was barely warmed up, tasted off. I had to look up if “raw” corned beef hash was ok to eat. Home fries were well flavored and cooked perfectly. We also ordered the French platter but the “2 pieces of French toast” came as two halves of the same slice of bread, on a side plate. Waitress kindly checked in with us but didn’t give enough time for us to say what was “off”. No water refills till we asked a 2nd time when given the bill. Our experience was ok overall, but with other choices around, we’re not rushing back.
