When I lived in the city, I frequented this place and they never disappoint. Never. If you’re looking for a quick meal on your way home or somewhere, this is the place. And the owner is genuine, down to earth and cares about more than making a dollar. He’s approachable too. I will definitely be back.

Went in today and got a large order of jumbo shrimp, nice and Fresh and cooked perfectly. We go here all the time for fish and chicken. It’s always fresh, seasoned nice and fries are good too. They don’t season the fries which is good so you can salt and pepper them to your liking. They also do big orders for whatever function you’re having. Check em out!!!

This is the best J&J. I used to live in Beverly and this was my go to spot for fried chicken for over 10 years. I relocated to the west burbs and we don’t have any good chicken places out here. I visit J&J almost every time I drive into the city. Even if I’ve eaten elsewhere, I stop and pick up chicken to take home. The food is always hot and fresh. The customer service is also excellent. Sometimes the parking can be difficult due to the other businesses but its not a deterrent. I’ve never had a bad experience with service or food. This remains my favorite chicken spot.

Great chicken and fish, food is always made fresh. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because their quality of fries is that good. Fries are always soggy, never crispy and lack flavor. Please take the time and improve your french fries.
