Probably the best BBQ place in Pella. I enjoyed some dry rubbed ribs with “Corn Off the Cob” and coleslaw as sides.

Grease and more grease. The bun for my burnt ends sandwich was so full of grease I had to ask for a plain bun. Half of my meat was actually fat. The server literally threw the straws and silverware on to the table and yelled out orders and directions to our party of ten from the far end of the table. Not impressed.

The food is incredible and well prepared but honestly that’s the only thing saving me from giving this place a 2 or even a 1. The wait in a seemingly only moderately busy restaurant was an hour almost more. Personally my order was forgotten and the waitress did little to apologise or make things better. I saw other tables wait for service longer than mine did. They have a good thing going just need to get their act together. I was also disappointed in my portion size after paying 18.99 for a dinner plate.

Great location on a golf course with a beautiful wooded view. Feels like your in a treehouse. Food was good. Atmosphere was nice. Service was acceptable. We ordered 2 porterhouse (huge). They were more rare than we ordered but to be fair a porterhouse cut is hard to cook medium because they are so thick. Great addition to Marion County. Will definitely go again and try the BBQ.

Went here with my mom because she said it was good. I ordered the Big Texan burger which said on the menu that it was a 1/2 lb fresh Angus burger topped with brisket and sausage. Well it was topped with brisket and sausage but 1/2 lb burger it was not. More like a flat 1/4lb burger. I’ve had enough burgers in my life to know what a half lb burger is. Wanted it cooked medium but was well done and kind of dry with not much flavor to burger. The potato salad was really good though. This was on a Monday afternoon so maybe if I came on Friday or Saturday I would get the burger I was hoping for. My mom said hers was not as good as it was the previous Friday as well. Not sure I’ll try again.

Will definitely try again. Food was good. However 1.5hr wait with two teenage girls is not a great fit. Took one hour from getting salads to main course. Daughters burger was raw. Staff was embarrassed and offered free dessert. Nice gesture however we ordered low carb everything and said we would pass on dessert but they brought anyway. Again I am certain it was due to a large group ahead of us but there needs to be a game plan or communication up front. Will try again.

My husband and I went for our first time today. We ordered a Brisket sliced sandwich and beans. For an appetizer we got the Mac Daddy nachos. The chips were the extremely salty yellow rounds and when you add all the ingredients, all you can taste is salt. The Brisket wasn’t smoked there and the beans were overly sweet. We also stood up at the front for 10 minutes waiting for someone to seat us. Only 2 wait staff on a Saturday? I am pretty sure we won’t try again. It’s to bad too because Pella needs a little more variety.

Once you find Bubba-Q’s for the first time you’ll find it worth the effort. I am always happy with my steak quality. Prices are reasonable and we never leave hungry.

I’m not a huge fan of most BBQ in general because they always seem like overpriced grilled may soaked in sauce so I’m always skeptical when it comes to BBQ places. This place, however, was awesome. The meat was tender and moist even without sauce, the staff friendly and quick, the ambience fantastic. If I had to complain about anything it would be that I like my BBQ spicier but that is purely a matter of preference.

Can be pretty good if you pick the right food. Don’t get the Mac and cheese nachos, they’re soggy and you’ll be sorry. But the bourbon bacon sandwich was great. Stick with BBQ and you’ll be fine.
