First off let me applaud Canaletto’s for Ernesto our waiter assistant and Saddi our patient and humble waiter. He did an excellent job with all our requests and made all perfect except we should have stayed longer.

My wife & I had a very nice dining experience at this restaurant when we went for our dinner on a Sunday night.

The food was good. If you want bread for your table it’s $2 more. We were a party of two so not sure if the cost is more with larger parties.

Bolognese sauce was not that great, to dry.

This restaurant is all by the same people running Il Fornaio. So it has pretty much the same type of menu. Il Fornaio owners have the restaurant business down to a pat. Most of the waiters were Italians too and they did such a good job recommending entrees and serving us. And the food is always awesome.

I stopped in for a small lunch- just some Peroni and the “fruit of the sea” appetizer. Excellent! The bed of the appetizer was corn based, maybe grilled grits. Awesome ambience. Friendly bartender.

Fun restaurant in the middle of the Venetian and Palazzo casinos. Makes you feel like you are in Europe. Kind of weird how they control the weather in the mall area. Food was good and reasonably priced.

NEVER EVER EAT THERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET HUMILIATED BY THE STAFF I’m 43 years old and I travel a lot which makes me eat out a lot so I’m very custom to all different kind of restaurants from the hotdog cart to the Michelin restaurants and everything in between and today I had the WORST experience ever in my life . I walked in with my mother and wife , stood there for few minutes while the hostess is on the phone . I tried to get her attention but without looking at me she said she is transferring a call for her manager . I asked her again to check on my reservation so first she said she can’t find then she said we are party of 7 ( only 3) and all this while she was still on the phone and finally she got off so I asked her what’s her job description because as far as I know her job is to greet my family and walk us to our table but instead she said she will get her manager ( Jose Olascoaga) who came straight to me saying he will call security claiming I was yelling which no way I’ll be yelling in the middle of the Venetian but somehow not a single soul is looking at me and that’s simply because I was not yelling or screaming but apparently the manager didn’t actually want to hear what happened but rather score a point which is outrageous giving the fact my mother came on scooter because she is handicapped, he didn’t care trying to solve the issue , he called security which by that time I had already left . I started 20 years ago as a dish washer and respect every job inside the restaurant but what happened at Canaletto was not about servicing or doing what’s right but more about showing off and taking advantage of a family with a handicapped grandmother because Jose knew I would leave and not my mother through this . NEVER EVER EAT THERE
