Very nice location. Most of the staff was welcoming. We had the coffee ☕️ and the #9 with eggs and potatoes on the side. The food was actually very good. Waffles were perfect. Chicken was a little too crispy for me, but it was still good. Nothing was over seasoned. Our server was wonderful. It was pretty pricey but if you want good food you pay the price. Glad we stopped by to see what all the hoopla was about. And they delivered nicely.

I arrived from LAX and it is close in proximity. They opened at 8am. The seats are kinda out dated and floor under table was sticky. The staff was all nice with great service. I had chicken breast and waffle. The chicken was 8/10. The waffle was 4/10. I had o.j mix with sprite…yummy. For 4 people bill was $100

I’m sorry, but this restaurant was not worth the hype. This was my first time going at 26 years old & I was highly disappointed. The service was okay, it seemed like the only employee that actually seemed happy to be there was the host. The food itself was not good at all. My corn bread was harder than a rock, the greens weren’t seasoned & the macaroni was definitely mediocre. The chicken was basic literally nothing special & the waffle was a bit cold. For people to rave about it so much it just did not exceed or even meet my expectations. I could’ve gone the rest of my life without ever having it honestly. Would I eat there again? Absolutely not. $52 wasted. I want to give the other location a chance but I doubt it makes a difference.

I would have loved to post a great review. However this was a very disappointing experience. Server apparently had visual impairments. Yes lashes didn’t allow her to see me. I sat for over ten mins. Once I did order, the food was sat on the side of the table as she served it. It seemed to have been reheated in the microwave. The waffles were wet and the chicken. Was beyond crispy I took a bite. I was stabbed by it. So that tells me it was double fried. I spoke to the check out cashier. Asking if the food was made fresh. She replied yes it was. I had already boxed it to give away. Then decided to trash it. This is not the place I remember coming in town to visit. It could have used a deep clean as well.

The chicken and waffles are good and you should order that and only that (don’t be silly like me and get the grits and smothered chicken because you will be disappointed by the cold lumpy unseasoned grits and bland gravy).

this used to be a must for me whenever I’m in LA, that might end after this. their waffle is still delicious and their chicken still pairs well with it. but I’ve noticed the quality dip the past few years. half of the chicken we got was obviously cooked for a while before serving. price is still reasonable. we came on off hours so service was good. we will be back on our next trip there, but unlike before, only if the schedule and location permits

Most of the time the food is great but this time I ordered delivery and it seemed like the chicken breast wasn’t fresh and whoever made the Mac & cheese needs to not make it again or needs to not skim with the cheese I was highly disappointed it wasn’t the Mac & cheese I know from roscoes it wasn’t good at all. The yams, greens and cornbread were ok though
