Absolutely love the environment, from the music to the decor and lush greenery! This was our second visit and we have been happy each time. The nitty gritty was delicious, outstanding bacon and the waffle is out of this world. Maples on Main… you nailed it!

Bacon Eggs and Asphalt
So, my wife and I frequent Maples on Main often and absolutely LOVE this place. Rutherfordton needed a cafe like this in their town. I went in this morning and got takeout for the first time and wow!!! Super-fast service and just like dining in, everyone had smiling faces and was so friendly. The picture I included does no justice to how great this tasted. Yes, I added the syrup, but this is exactly what it looked like when I got back home and opened it up. Deeeelish!!!!

I’ve gone to Maples twice now on Saturday morning. The atmosphere is modern and cozy, lovely renovations. The food is interesting and delicious. I’ve had both the Pearl Waffles (very sweet) and the Standard (savory and spicy), both were good. There is also a lot of outdoor seating in the back as well as some Main Street outdoor tables which is a nice option in good weather. This is a new restaurant so I’m sure they are still working on finding their groove, but wait times are pretty long at peak times. The first time we came, we waited in line for 30 minutes and it took another 45 to get our food. I ate mine half way before my husband’s food arrived. The next week we came all the menus were missing and nothing was written on the board, so we ordered from memory but didn’t have a chance to try something new. This time the food was much more timely , but we also arrived right when they opened to avoid the crowd. Additionally, the server forgot my drink order (which was hot tea). When I asked about my drink, the server asked me if hot tea was just “tea without ice”. The server later returned to ask me which tea bag I wanted, which wasn’t offered to me when we ordered at the front. I think the staff just needs some more training on their menu and they might benefit from an extra cook for their peak times to keep up with demand. Otherwise I’m so excited to have another breakfast joint in town and I hope the issues get ironed out quickly. We will definitely be back to see how things progress. I would still recommend trying it out for yourself. ☺️

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! We tried the cinnamon roll, blackberry cheese danish, cake pops, and peach custard tart. Every bite was wonderful! The PEACH TART is PERFECTION! So excited for such a lovely little bakery in Rutherfordton!

Great food, great service, great atmosphere! The big fatty breakfast burrito has so much flavor! Same with the waffles! The lattes are not overly sweet, so maybe next time I’ll pair it with one of their pastries! Definitely coming back here!!!

What a gem! This place is the best new addition to Rutherfordton. The owners, Alex and Dan are welcoming. The renovation of this space is beautiful inside and out. We were a party of 5 and chose to dine out back on their shaded patio. First of all, we had to order 2 extra plates of the gold digger bacon… it was just amazing, you’ve never tasted bacon this good! We ordered lattes, the gold digger biscuit sandwich, the big fatty burrito, grilled cheese, and bananas foster French toast. Rave reviews on everything. Perfectly made food , clearly with love and attention to detail. My only complaint is that I liked the Gold Digger so much I don’t know if I should order it again next time or try something new. This is the place Rutherfordton needed !
