It has a cool vibe and the drinks are priced the same as other bars/breweries. Tables and seating were limited and they were first come first take. The biggest is that the pizzas are expensive for the size (butter knife for size reference), yeah two people can share it but you would want an appetizer and drink to fill up. Overall it was good pizza though!

Omg, this pizza is to die for. We had their morel and green pea which was the best thing I ate this month. Can’t wait to go back and try more!

Came here to pick up pizza and wings to go, and learned wings are only dine-in to preserve their quality. Snagged a mushroom nettle pizza and vowed to come back to try the wings. Boy was it worth it. Pizza was fantastic, loved the decorative flowers. The wings though. THE WINGS! Unbelievable. These are the wings that people who love wings dream about. Are disappointed not to find. Almost believe no longer exist in this cruel world. But they do. They’re right here, at Bookie’s.

Delicious. Literally some of the greatest tasting bites in memory. I was hoping it was going to be good and was beyond happy to not be let down.

First time there today, had the great spicy mitaki mushroom wings, kale and chicory Caesar salad, and pepperoni pizza.

Are we in Santa Cruz or Portland Oregon? These guys making Chicago style undercooked pizza with a couple flowers thrown on top acting like it’s gods gift to Santa Cruz pizza lovers. Dont go at 8:30 because you’ll be treated like a homeless person begging for some good food. Could barely order a pizza and the one cider they had lol. Typical cocky service people who are most likely underpaid with horrible traditional tattoos lol. This place is not cool. Maybe some tech bros looking to get a quick bite but not a good vibe. The cook basically threw the pizza buzzer at us after saying thank you. Hate life much? This place is not good and we all had stomach aches after. Don’t let the fancy flowers they throw on every dish fool you. The service sucks and so does the attitude.

The pizza is good (a little too salty) but with interesting flavors if you like thick bready crust. If you care about customer service Don’t go there. I ordered four pizzas for a total of $100 plus gave a $20 tip. I did not see on the order for where to specify gluten-free. That was my mistake but I immediately called after placing the order and left a msg (the only option) that they needed to be gluten-free and to please let me know they got the message. They did not acknowledge my request, so I called back with the same information. Still they still return my call, I went to pick up the pizzas – they were not gluten-free. I asked him to make me four pizzas gluten-free. He said he would but I had to pay for them along with paying for the regular pizzas. I have never been so amazed at poor customer service. I took the pizzas and gave them away I will never go there again, nor will members of my family or friends . To the owner: I suggest you consider having a human check your phone messages at least once every half hour. And, learn something about customer service.

Absolutely delicious. 10/10. Ate here with some folks who were visiting from out of town and everyone loved the pizza. Even the 3 from New Jersey, which is really saying something! I used to be a part owner of a bakery and sourdough pizza place and so myself have very high standards with pizza… this definitely meets and exceeds my standards.

Don’t scoff at artisanal Detroit pizza until you’ve tried Bookie’s. Truly some of the finest on the planet. Morel and ramps toppings? Unreal. Pretzels are fantastic, fresh and doughy. Buffalo wings are fantastic and if you want to go slightly insane try the Maitake mushroom wings – they are out of this world.
