Place has great reviews so you would think that food is good, but it isn’t, @ least not what i got. The gorditas weren’t great, had a weird taste. Food is cheap but not worth it in my opinion.

I recently dined at Jackie’s Mexican food on West McDowell, and overall, I had a great experience. The standout items for me were the carne asada nachos and the burritos.

Great tasting food. Huge servings. The best horchata around!! Average cost is about $10 to $12 per person with a drink. You can definitely get 2 tacos with a drink under $10 but most items are closer to $10 and we’ll worth it when you see the portions size. I posted a few pictures from the two times I’ve eaten there. Highly recommend.

We have ordered food from here many of times and have always been very pleased with our food. I’m not sure what exactly happened today that changed our positive experience upside down. I ordered the mixed enchiladas ( one cheese, one chicken, one carne asada ) my husband ordered a burrito… Two very common Mexican dishes. When we got home and opened our food we were speechless… I would be absolutely ashamed and embarrassed to hand someone food like this. We are Mexican and I could have gone to Taco Bell for a more traditional dish than what we received tonight. My enchiladas were three soggy and cold tortillas made with meet and folded over like a taco, all stacked one on top of the other, thrown in a to go box. The “carne asada” was far from that, I ended up with ground beef it really not sure that it was. The “cheese enchilada” was cold shredded cheese, not even melted just slapped on… ordered with a side of Mexican rice which was old, cold and hard!! My husbands burrito? Made of probably the same ground beef or pieces of carne asada that were all burned and charred. When I called the establishment to let them know all they said was, “sorry about that.” Nothing else, not an attempt to make it right or better. We won’t ever be back. Shame on you. Les viera de dar vergüenza!

This place is a set of two food trucks in an open covered dining area. Food is fairly well and above average when compared to other Mexican food restaurants around the area with good prices. Service is good and staff is generally friendly and helpful. Parking is dirt and not maintained at all so if you eat there you will be prone to eating some dust out of the cars coming in and out of the place. Entrance is pretty rough and rocky. If they were to fix the entrance and spruce up the parking area, they would have a great place here.

Absolutely the best Mexican food I’ve had since moving here. At least for me, it’s very close to the food I grew up on coming from Southern Mexico area.

Not sure how this place has good reviews. Over priced food with a ton of filler like potato and rice instead of meat etc. fajitas had some weird chicken that was ground and didn’t taste good. Burrito had hardly any pick, no steak and mostly rice and potato for over $10. No value here for the money and staff is blah as well . Avoid this place like the plague, your stomach and wallet will thank you.

Real great authentic Mexican food, in my opinion! We love it here! Obsessed with the carne asada nachos & the California burrito! Little bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for!

We’ve been told for awhile to make sure to go here. Finally remembered to and did not disappoint! The salsa had heat and very flavorful. Our food was fresh, well seasoned, and good portion size. We got the corn quesadilla with beef tongue (so good even my 7 loved it!), The chicken Gordita was approve and not spicy for a small human to enjoy. Every plate comes with a Serrano pepper and the order came with both salsas. We will be back for sure! The pictures on the menu match the food that is served as well, which seems rare some times. I suggest you make time to sit outside and enjoy the amazing food!
