I had a very unpleasant first experience here while attempting to place a drive-thru order. Firstly, the drive-thru speaker was extremely low so we could hardly hear what the staff member was saying and vice versa.

Pretty good BBQ for the price. Not too expensive but typical BBQ pricing. Decent sized portions of sides and LOTS of ribs! Clean inside and pretty empty around 4pm on a weekday. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was really laid back. Good food, would come again. Kids eat free on Wednesday and they have complementary ice cream!

Baker’s Ribs used to be A+ in my book. It had been a while since my last visit. Since I was on NWHwy, I thought I’d give it a try. I’ve always ordered the sloppy Joe because the chopped beef has always been too much meat for me. Like everything, the price has increased for the sloppy joe over the years. Great! Sloppy Joe on nice toasted bread, I thought. There was barely any sloppy to my untoasted Joe! For what I received, the price should have remained the same. I didn’t expect 10/50 but I certainly was surprised, not in a good way.

Love the Food, it was good, inside looked nice and clean. The outside of the building/parking lot looks like it could be a vacant building, with overgrown bushes, weeds, tree needing to be trimmed, grass over growing curbs, parking lot lights out, no lights on street or building signage, and a couple of outdoor eating areas that I guess they don’t turns the lights on. I took my son there for his birthday (he’s a fast food manager) and when he saw the outside he wasn’t even sure if he wanted to go in. I let him know the food was good, that it would be worth it to overlook the outside, and he was pleased but, come on! That’s the type of stuff that keeps people from wanting to eat there.

My Thoughts
When you drive 45 minutes for BBQ and they closed early. I arrived at 8:24pm, drive thru blocked, states 9pm close time. I was getting ‘To Go’ for Easter brunch tomorrow. They are watching the fight. Beyond irritated! What a waste of my time. Won’t bother next time.

I have been here twice. The 1st time completely dissapointed, maybe it was the end of the day but the food was not good. My 2nd visit was better, the ribs were not falling off the bone, but good overall. Im intrigued but only slightly. I would like to try one of the fried pies, so maybe a 3rd visit it in order.
