Can’t recommend this place enough. I had the fish tacos and it made me feel like I was eating them for the first time. My wife was going to get oysters… They gave them to her for free. So she got the crab legs. Also excellent. Service was great. Love this place!

We were staying in town and saw this restaurant. We thought we would give it a try. We were seated immediately, and our drinks arrived within a couple of minutes. Our waiter brought us chips, bean dip and pointed us to the salsa bar. We then ordered the chili Verde. The plates were huge. If you leave here hungry, there is something wrong. The food was very good and the staff was very attentive. One suggestion, less lime juice and more garlic in their guacamole made at the table. If we lived in the area, we would be back.

For the last four weeks, my sister & her friend whose kids play softball together and I have been going to Puerto’s before the games to “Pre-Game” and every time the staff at Puerto’s accommodate our party of 6 or more rambunctious kids. The food is always served up fast and correctly. The portions are big, but not too big & the drinks are always ice cold. They offer fresh made at the table from scratch guacamole dip. Puerto’s has all the traditional Mexican entree’s like all the other Mexican places, but I think Puerto’s is just a step above in quality. It’s safe to say that we love this place. It has become our official Pre-Game spot on game night.

Every single time we visit Abingdon, this is a must stop at place! I very highly recommend it! Other places are struggling to serve people, due to limited staff, and this place has staff for everything!!! I can’t say enough good about their food, service, prices, specials, etc!

The best Mexican restaurant around. I love the one in Bristol as well but the one in Abingdon is even better. The food is great, the service is fantastic and the atmosphere is exactly what you want from a Mexican restaurant without being over the top like some others. I cannot recommend Puerto Nuevo enough to every one. For a quicker option too they have a second restaurant in Bristol that is a drive through, located in front of the Foodcity on Euclid ave. Ive not tried it yet because i love going and sitting in to get the full experience.
