We are a family owned steak house located near Chub Lake in Person County. We cook all our steaks on a charcoal grill. Our salad bar has over 30 fresh items cut each day. Each weekend we feature a variety of specials. We are famous in the county for our hot fudge cake and our homemade cheesecakes.

The salad bar was good and fresh. The steak was cooked well and delicious. My only complaint was the side of Mac and cheese that came with the $40 steak. It was the small straight noodle original Kraft Mac and cheese with the powder cheese mix. I was expecting much better for the side, maybe they had a problem and had to serve that as emergency. Overall it was good

Everything was great the food was good as always. The service was fast and the waitress was friendly and spot on. The one room we were in with the fireplace could possibly stand a little more light. That is just my opinion other than that I was very satisfied and will definitely go back. It’s one of my favorite steak houses.

Steak was good, Mac and cheese was terrible, was like eating straight out of the box. Not worth putting on the menu. Salad bar was okay, cheesecakewas good. Not worth the price we paid. I’ve been going here for 45 years. I was there when the original owner was cooking my steaks. It’s the same perfect family owned restaurant with the best steaks you’ve tasted cooked over real charcoal and the best salad bar that ever graced a salad plate. The place may have had a face lift over the last 40 years but the people, the steaks, the service have remain true to its Thomas and Rachel days.

Salad bar average. I got fish assume frozen not good to me. Slaw was horrible. Our server was good. We set behind a window and it was cold. From the time we set dow ordered eat,etc little over two hours. I felt prices were high for quality of food.
