After a hot day fishing on Grand Isle, this place was a welcoming spot to refuel and refresh. We ordered the daily special, hamburger steak with mashed potatoes. It tasted homestyle and tasty, and worth the 11.99 it cost. I miss Roses cafe, but this place is a great little spot.

Went in around 4pm and had a lovely early dinner with family. The waitress was really nice and was knowledgeable with the menu. Family of 6 so we all got different items and tried each other’s food. The most notable dishes were the bang bang shrimp, crawfish etouffee, the onion rings and a crab dip. Would definitely try again if we get to visit Grand Isle again.

I will eat anything if it’s fried right and Mee Maw’s did not disappoint. The staff was super friendly and seem to anticipate our needs. They explained some menu items to us without being condescending or making us feel like out of towners. Real Cajun experience and real Southern hospitality.

This was our first time stopping at this restaurant. There was ample parking spaces, even for my big rig. We were greeted immediately, and told we could sit at any table. We placed our order right after we got our beverages. The salad bar was nice, and had a quite items. The food came shortly after. It was really good. Dessert was equally enjoyable. The bread pudding was really tasty. The server, Michelle, and the cashier, Nicol were both attentive and friendly. They’re open 7 days a week, and they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. I would recommend Me-Maw’s restaurant to anyone traveling through Golden Meadow.

Great seafood!!! Friendly staff!! Will definitely recommend and we’ll definitely be back! We had the seafood platter and a shrimp po-boy. We were very satisfied with our selections.

Had dinner there on a Sunday evening after a long day of fishing and got the seafood platter. It was pretty good except for the seafood gumbo. Probably the worse I’ve had since it only had sausage and shrimp in it (yes sausage) Service was great food was alright.

Hot fresh to order fried chicken was great, mashed potatoes were very buttery and the brown gravy made it even better. The rice dressing reminded me of the old Danny’s Fried chicken of my youth….very very good. We will definitely return.
