Easily my favorite Korean restaurant in the Chicagoland area. It tastes like someone’s mom put in lots of love and effort into the food. You will find a small menu here which I appreciate because they take time to perfect each dish. I keep going back to the Wang galbi soup. The broth is so nourishing. Their mandu (steamed dumplings) is so plump and delicious. Their soy marinated shrimp is super umami. Can’t go wrong with any of their seollongtang.

We are from Fort Worth, Texas, and were hoping for some good 설렁탕, which is hard to get in Texas. I ordered some 모둠설렁탕, 도가니탕 and 양지설렁탕 and shared then with family. We all loved ours, especially my father, who is from South Korea. He said the stews tasted authentic, the best 설렁탕 he had in a long time!

The atmosphere was nice and the server lady was also good. Our issue was with the food. Sullungtang was rather bland and plain. It wasn’t worth 17.99 for thin broth and the amount of meat and noodles weren’t much for that price. We also ordered Dwejigogi galbi. It wasn’t galbi (ribs) meat. It was just sliced pork marinated in galbi bbq sauce which was also very oily. Again, the portion wasn’t much compared to the price point (24.99). Also, please consider using kitchen scissors- we were given regular pair of Fiskars (the one you use for office/school/craft/sewing) and it was just unsanitary. We ordered extra side of noodles- and literally, it was just a spoonful which we were charged $2 for. We had high hopes for this place, but for the price and quality of the food, I would recommend Joongbu Mart food court or So Gong Dong down the street.

Came here for lunch on a weekday with colleagues. The waitress was kind and efficient and the food was great! I really like being able to adjust the taste of the seolleongtang yourself with the salt and pepper on the table since I am trying to watch my sodium intake. Definitely hope to come here again!

One of the most hearty and authentic 설렁탕 I have had!! You know the broth here is real and 진국, my new favorite spot for good 설렁탕! Love the flavor of their kimchee too. Definitely recommended!

First of all I want to say that this place is great. When it comes to the ox broth the meat was tender and soft that it melts in your mouth the soup makes your heart warm. It’s perfect for winter and the steamed dumplings was amazing I prefer a hot dumplings but that didn’t matter since it taste homemade! I would come back and try other food

I ordered 2 ribs, but they only gave me 1 rice, and when I asked why they only gave me 1 rice, they said that 1 rice was large size. I think it was just a regular size. This is not the way to do business, even if the price of food has increased.

Not even a question, I will always have an amazing meal any time I go and no matter what I get at Claypot. Everything from the seolleongtang (spicy version is also sooo good and my current obsession), to the mandu, and honestly everything else is so good. Have taken friends and family a few times as well and they all came away stuffed and impressed.

I honestly don’t understand why there arent that much reviews but i think this is one of the best place in glenview area! The food is very good and clean and i order food from here pretty often. I especially like the seollungtang and meat mandu (dumpling)! Trust me and try it out here!
