Looks like something out of the last century, but it adds to the charm. Ice cream is good, it probably has enough calories to feed an elephant but it tastes excellent. Overall, I’m quite pleased, just can’t come here too often if I want to fit into my car.

This Dairy Queen is the best in the state! They’re food always is delicious and the staff knows what they’re doing. Food always gets to me fast and the best part, they put extra candy on the top of their blizzards. If you’re trying to find a good Dairy Queen, choose this one as it will make you happy once you taste the food!

We arrived for food and ice cream after a softball tournament with many players, coaches, and families. The building was packed and the staff could have easily gotten overwhelmed, but they stayed calm and did an excellent job at working through everyone’s order in a smooth and efficient manner. Excellent job by everyone working!

I’ve been to this Dairy Queen several times since I grew up in the area. Location is just on the edge of town. Nothing fancy about this place, but the people are always helpful and friendly. They are one of the few Dairy Queens I’ve been to where they bring the food to you. You don’t automatically assume you have to wait for it at the counter… They make the best hot fudge malts. I wish we had more Dairy Queens on the west coast.

They don’t put any toppings in there blizzards they only put 3 pieces on top. The workers were very rude. Would not recommend going to this DQ

I asked for a train themed sheet cake and they did an amazing job! Turned out way better than I expected. I have another event in the summer and know where exactly where I’ll be going for the cake. Thank you thank you thank you!

In my opinion, this DQ Franchisee (owner) is just plain greedy. If you use a credit card, they make more profit off of you because they charge a 3.99% surcharge (even though their merchant rate is likely 1.6-2.7%); in reality, the 3.99% rate that they charge customers is more like 4.28% because they charge this rate on top of sales tax, too. The cashier told me that they are “splitting the fee” charged by the merchant account with the customer (which is not true unless their is an unusual reason for the owner to be charged such a really high merchant rate). If you ask for dipping sauces, most Dairy Queens provide one or two for free when you purchase a combo meal and then charge $0.30-$0.50 for additional sauces. This place charges $0.96 for each and every dipping sauce (none are free). Blizzards are runny and seem to be in smaller cups for the same size as compared to other local DQs. This location doesn’t even tip the blizzards upside down like what is required (because they would drip on the counter). 15-20 years ago, this place was really good; now, not so much. There is no reason to believe that this place provides the “best blizzards anywhere” unless you are talking about the distant past or are friends with the owners. I have visited this location many times over the past 30+ years and believe that this place is now just mid-to-low average as compared to other DQs. Staff is “ok” but not “great”. Cleanliness is just “ok” – last time it was bad but this time is was ok. Food quality was “ok” but not great. The place is nicely decorated but really needs to be updated (most of it is paint made to look nice – just don’t look too close). I was not impressed (again) by this place. In the future, I will go to the Buffalo location instead of this location. Employees always seem happier at the Buffalo location, you don’t get price gouged with additional and unusual/unnecessary fees, you seem to get more quantity and higher quality products, etc. And no, I have no connection to anybody at the Buffalo or Annandale locations.

I cannot even believe how this place skimps on their cones.

The only reason I’m leaving one star is because of the compassion one of the staff members showed to us about the entire situation. A friend and I and our girls stopped by here on our way home. My friend ordered a chicken strip basket and received RAW chicken, not just a little pink either completely raw and mushy still. My friend ended up rushing to the bathroom to throw up and the manager showed 0 remorse for what had just happened. Basically told my friend all she could do was either make my friend a fresh basket or refund her for the basket but “no way” was she refunding the entire order. Will not be returning here until they decide to purchase a timer for their chicken since they like to send it out raw, yuck!
