The food was ok. Chicken sandwich was tough with not a ton of flavor. Beet salad was a bit mushy. The toaster ravioli was pretty good. One kids Mac and cheese was good. The other was not baked. Weird. Beer was cold and refreshing.

Just had coffee there with a friend, but I liked it. Real neighborhood bar with good service. Half a dozen or so booths, maybe a few tables, and seats at the bar. Claims to have good corned beef. Would like to test that claim sometime.

Only reason I gave it 4 stars was due to the prices. Food is okay, not bad and worth it if you’re hungry and want to eat. However their prices are pretty steap and the food doesn’t match the price even in today’s market. Staff was really friendly and the restaurant was clean. We can’t all be perfect and I’d give 3 stars if I felt it was needed but it’s not. All around good restaurant.

This was a great little find. We were on our way to the Zoo and were hungry. This was the only bar in the area. They were still serving brunch. The food was good. My wife ordered a Mimosa. They offered a carafe instead of a glass for $4 more. This was a great bargain. Service was good.

Loved it. Staff was great! Food was so good. Fried pickles are some of my favorites I’ve ever had. And I try them across the country. Potatoes and brown gravy was my favorite. Also had a salad that was pretty darn good! Highly recommend!

I was expecting a little more here but still a cool place that’s been around since 1842. I gotta respect the history here. So with that said, a great selection of whiskeys and in particular, Irish whiskeys!! Sadly the wings were kind of soggy and they don’t have bleu cheese. I’d definitely come back for the whiskey but they need to work on their food quality.

This charming Irish pub is across from Turtle Park across the freeway from the Zoo. It used to be a regular stop for years because of its charm, food and staff — but a little less so lately.

2022: I’m upgrading Pat’s fried chicken to be one of the top 2 in STL. Awesome service and great pub food.

One of the best chicken sandwiches in STL, friendly service, and great atmosphere with history behind the pub/building. Definitely worth checking out.

After visiting the St. Louis Zoo, my group and I had Pat Connolly’s in Dogtown for dinner and it was great! Very down to earth atmosphere and the service and food were both terrific! I had cheesy ravolis and white cheddar mac n cheese!
