Finally, a BBQ joint where the meat is actually edible!!!!! I’m from the south, this place was very decent and I’ll return. My only complaint is the two gentlemen behind the counter were not very outgoing or interactive with the customers, one just started and hadn’t even tried the food to give recommendations on anything and the other one, longer brown hair, just had a flat personality. Other than that, the food was good!

If you want genuine bomb southern style BBQ then this is the place. Everything we’ve tried is fantastic, we’ve been 4 or 5 times now. Huge shoutout to the person preparing the food cause it’s also CONSISTENT. Same flavors and quality every visit.

Absolutely the best BBQ food in Salem. My personal favorite is the sliced brisket and especially that it’s sliced and not shredded. You can easily see the smoke rings and know what you are getting.

Boy is it hard to find good bbq, but this place doesn’t disappoint. Excellent brisket, and the sides were on point. Don’t pass up on the sauces either, they’re awesome.

I visited the new location and couldn’t have been more delighted. I got the Big Guy platter to split with my brother. I was absolutely amazed with the brisket. It just dripped of meat goodness and juices. For my platter I got the brisket, pork ribs, and burnt ends all were tender and to top it off the in house sauces were great. My favorite had to be the white sauce that had a small kick to it. I got banana pudding and that was the perfect way to end my meal, it was creamy and delicious. Will be coming again.

We were recently in Salem visiting family for two weeks and were hosting a birthday party for a large group. We walked into Campbell’s around 11am and were greeted by David (the meat guy) and SuAnne. We explained that we were hosting a large party and asked for recommendations. Not only did David provide recommendations, he brought out various items for us to taste. Amazing customer service!! They were both so friendly and accommodating. We placed our order and asked if they could deliver. Sure enough, they immediately said they could. Now to the food review ~ oh my goodness ~ David’s BBQ was incredible! The brisket was out-of-this-world and the pork ribs had just the right chew. We also had the dirty rice which was a real hit with everyone and, the potato salad was a WOW!! The personal attention from SuAnne and David was truly impressive and appreciated. We currently live in Maryland and have never experienced this level of customer service at home. If you want outstanding BBQ and excellent customer service ~ Campbell’s is definitely the place to go! We will be back!
