This casual eatery offers a simple menu and quick service, but the execution lacks refinement. The minimalistic interior with few tables and loud pop music creates an energetic but unpolished ambiance.

The chicken katsu sando was crispy, juicy, and very tender. Honey walnut shrimp had decent amount of shrimp, well seasoned, but felt like the walnut was a little too hard to be in a sandwich. The wagyu waffle fries was crunchy and the cheesy curry dip was so goood. Thick curry with great flavors. Will definitely have to come back and try the curry plates

The walnut shrimp sando is a must-try! I also love that they have some ready-made food/snacks like onigiri, fruit sandos, and a potato salad and egg salad sando. I really like the bulgogi onigiri. There’s also a good selection of Japanese drinks like Milkis and Ramune. The place is a bit small but we got there right before the rush and snagged a table. With about 4 people ahead of us, the wait for food wasn’t too bad either!

A friend introduced me to Katsu Sando before & glad they opened up a SGV location. They have a variety of selections you can order from. I got the Katsu sando & slaw because it was my first time here, but I can’t wait to try the other options. They also have fruit sandos & onigri. Even though the sandos are best eaten right away I think it would still make great picnic food.

Parking can be a challenge and the wait times can be long, but still worth it! The cashier recommended the chicken sando, but we tried the pork too. So good! Messy, but not greasy. Sauced, but not too much. My kid devoured the fruit sando too. I already love this spot!

Everything I heard about this restaurant is true! Best katsu chicken sandwich around! The lightly toasted honey milk bread is perfect with the chicken katsu (panko-fried chicken) and coleslaw. The spicy sauce adds a little kick and good flavor. I would like it a little more spicy but for people with not a lot of spice tolerance, they will like this sauce. I can’t wait to try the other menu items!

I had the opportunity to try out the katsu store’s menu, which features a limited but well-executed selection of fried chicken, pork, menchi (Japanese meatballs), and shrimp sandwiches. I must say, the katsu was fried to absolute perfection, with a crispy exterior and a tender, juicy interior.

Clean place maybe too clean. Looks brand new kinda plain looking but not a problem. Small selection of items but everything looks quality and hand made except for the snack bar and drinks. Staff is friendly and helpful. Got busy fast so come at a good time. A bit pricey as I paid 28 dollars for 2 sandwiches and order of fries. One bathroom. Small parking lot also so drop someone off the find parking if you solo you sol. No cash only card. As for the food. Got the Menchi thick pattern still a little pink in the middle. Juicy but lacks flavor. Fires are crispy but were not that hot suace was ok not hot at all. Sandwhich needs mustard or ketchup or mayo whatever you perfer. Pickels and some onions would make it better imo. I will come back to try the pork sandwich.

Fun little “hole in the wall” vibe upon entry. The menu is simple. Few items to choose from and they specialize in chicken and pork katsu. You can choose to have it on a sandwich, on a plate (served with rice a couple sides) or with rice and curry.
