This was the last stop on my weekend in Asheville and I’m glad I stopped in. The shrimp and grits were fabulous and the mimosa was spot on. Next time I’ll try this place for dinner. Seemed to be a go to spot for many locals.

The Southern is a local favorite. From awesome cocktails to delicious comfort food- this is the place to go. When it’s sunny out, expect a wait for the patio, as it’s the best one in town! They have awesome daily drink specials as well. The staff is always attentive and friendly. Highly recommend!

We just happened upon this cute little restaurant, we had 2 dogs with us and there was an open patio. We had what looked like a servers nightmare, 8 adults between ages 23-25, ordering only drinks and an appetizer and all splitting checks. Despite all that, we received superb service! Molly was sweet and cheerful, and she didn’t so much as role her eyes when I asked to sample a beer on draft, but looked eager. The atmosphere and food were great, but the service amazing! 5 stars, for sure!

I ate lunch here on a Friday and it was empty. This surprised me. The speed of service and the presentation of the food was impressive. I had the blackened catfish and grits, and it came out quickly and piping hot…just the way I like it. People need to know that this is great lunch spot during the week! The staff is very friendly and the food is awesome! I will definitely be back!

Found this place last night while walking around downtown, customers were outside drinking and it looked like a good place to stop and get a beer. Nice friendly welcome by the greeter, she sat us outside and recommended some beers, beers came quick and then our waitress who was great also recommended the pork belly sandwich, so we got that too. The sandwich and the green salad that comes with it was fantastic. All around great place to eat, drink & people watch.

The service was pretty slow outside. One waitress for 10 tables. I waited around 20 minutes for a drink order. Menu is eclectic, but somewhat limited, though the draft selection is pitifully small and uninspired. Would neither recommend nor come back, simply as it has nothing to offer vs other options.

This place was awesome! We came here for dinner after a long day in Asheville so we were looking for somewhere more casual. The atmosphere was casual but they still had awesome food and drinks. I thought the prices were super reasonable for how delicious the food was! Our waitress was great and even split our check 8 ways for us! Definitely will come back the next time I’m in Asheville.
