At our Frankfort, KY location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Very dirty, rude staff, extremely small portions of food & charged for meals instead of single items. I asked for cocktail sauce multiple times received ketchup inoted causing me to attempt to go in and get it only to discover the doors were locked early not closing time. I will go out of my way to Versailles Road from now on!

Captain D’s in Frankfort is back to it’s old self. I was concerned they would never recover from the covid pandemic. Service was a little slow but to be fair they were quite busy. The claims were fried correctly. They were tender and tasty not rubbery. The Cole slaw was fresh. The fries were hot. The staff was friendly and helpful.

They tried to hire me for a manager I did the interview and never heard anything back I’ve tried plenty of time of calling and texting to see what was going on and never got back with me very unprofessional and not worth trying they might waste your time like they did to me

I love the country style fried fish, their regular batter dipped and fried fish is good too. I didn’t rate the Atmosphere because it would be unfair as I have not been inside of Captain Ds since covid. In pre-covid times it was always great.
