Tried this little place out by suggestion and I’m glad I took it! It is not greasy, this pizza is absolutely delicious. The flavor of the four meats are fresh, the pizza sauce is wonderful, and The thickness is perfect along with the amount of toppings. I think I found my go to pizza place.

My family and I went to Gentry, AK to go to the drive through Safari (been going since I was 3 yrs old, if you havent ever been i highly suggest it!) My best friend met up with us there. Anyway after all the fun we had at the safari, we were really hungry so we Googled near by restaurants and came across Pioneer Pizza. Just looking at their menu online, they had me at their amazing spuds! My friend and I both got spuds (I got Ham and Cheese and she got BBQ) and my girls got a medium cheese pizza. Let me just say, this place is amazing! Great food, great staff, refreshing drinks and they even have the old arcade games. Amazing place and when we are in the area again. We will be back!

The service has always been friendly and they are always quick. I do enjoy their pizza and get it occasionally, but what keeps me coming back is the Janelli. It’s similar to a calzone but better. The small Janelli is enough for one hungry person at lunch but if you get some breadsticks it would be plenty to share.

It was ok, the restaurant was welcoming and clean. I ordered nachos… I was very hungry otherwise I wouldn’t have ate them. I am sure if I would have said something to the waitress she would have gotten me something else. But, it’s a small-town business trying to stay alive. So, I didn’t want to cost them money.

The pizza is okay. For the price you pay, it’s not worth the quality. While visiting where my mom grew, we decided to order Pioneer Pizza for a gathering because she always talks about how much she loves it. We all (including my mom), were sadly disappointed with our dinner. The only pizza we liked was the bbq special, the crust was average and the sauce was not great on the rest of the pies. For the money spent we could have gotten double the food from Dominos and been more satisfied. If you’re in Gentry and wanting to eat local, it’s well enough.
