My husband and I were looking to try different restaurants in downtown Fredericksburg. We gave them a try. Let’s just say we will not return. The atmosphere was nice with soul R&B playing. Our waitress was nice but forgetful, there were only two other tables. Potatoes were not cooked, and biscuits were hard and falling apart. Steak was dry. The eggs were good.

I was warned not to go here but my husband and I decided to give it a go. We went for brunch on a Saturday. There were open tables and not that busy. We sat down and drinks came right away. We ordered our food and waited….and waited and waited. As other people were coming in, they were informed they were out of biscuits. We were thinking yes! We made the cut off, but we were wrong. After waiting for about 40 minutes, we were brought our food with the apology that they ran out of biscuits so my husband’s meal would be free. All of the ice in my drink had melted by this point. I had the strawberry shortcake biscuit…which was dry and tasted like cardboard that had been left in my grandma’s attic. It was also stone cold and hard. I had two bites. My husband was disappointed but asked if they had toast to go with his eggs and bacon. The waitress said they had some and she would go get it. 5 or 10 minutes later, she came back to ask us if we needed anything else. No toast and his eggs were beyond cold at this point. I asked for the check. The waitress was very apologetic and I felt really bad for her. Customers should be made aware as soon as possible that what they are ordering isn’t available so they can then make the decision to stay or go. Not wait almost an hour and be brought food that is cold and not what they wanted. The table beside us also received their food sans biscuits and were not told ahead of time. There were also only 2 girls working and mainly the 1 girl. Good concept….but if your main thing is forks and biscuits…you should probably have both and they should be exceptional.

There is a lot of potential here, but the meal had a lot of ups and downs. First, the good parts… the sausage gravy was great! The potatoes and eggs had lots of flavor and were great too. Also the staff was very nice and attentive. Now for the not so great, although my biscuit was baked well, my wife’s came out doughy and neither had much flavor. The bacon was very limp and flavorless as well. My wife had coffee, and it came out luke warm. While we were there other customers also complained of under baked biscuits and cold coffee. And the under baked biscuits show up a lot in other online reviews. They need to make their main biscuits smaller!! Stop going for shock and awe and focus on quality and consistency. All and all, I don’t see us coming back until they’ve made some changes.

My fiancé and I have been looking for a place in town that had really good homemade biscuits. We have been wanting to try Fork ~ N ~ Biscuit for a while. We were not disappointed! All of the food was amazing! Good portion size and very flavorful! The server was friendly. We will definitely be back.

This place was unique and amazing! Leave your diet behind because this is definitely for a well-deserved cheat meal! We ordered a cinnamon bun, (large biscuit w/ icing drizzle and whip cream and an Appomattox sandwich (fried and rich, filled with ham and cheese, topped with strawberries and whip cream best of both worlds! I couldn’t believe how big theses plates were. The waitress was extremely nice and service was good-

Customer Service was really good. My waiter was super friendly and let me know right away that they were out of alot of things. She helped me pick my drink. I ende up getting the White Lemonade which was delicious. For my meal i ordered a deconstructed Rappahannock ( Blackened Catfish, Sauteed Greens, fried tomatoes, fried onions with remoulade sauce) and a side of crabcakes. I forgot what my friend ordered but it came with potatoes, eggs, steak (i think) and a biscuit. She also ordered the fried apples.

Large portions, good food. They were out of creamer the morning I went, but the server was nice and I just used milk instead. The hollandaise on my meal was broken, still tasty, but was perfect on my husband’s.

Overall, the service was lovely, and the restaurant was clean. However, the food was sub para. The biscuit was dry, the sausage was frozen patties, and the tea tasted old and bitter.

My Bestie treated me here for my birthday. Great Customer Service lacked tremendously. Some of the food was good (waffle was amazing), while the steak was not cooked well done (came out medium).

I see a lot of potential with this place, drinks came right away but we sat for about 30 minutes waiting for our food. To be fair I’m not sure of their situation in back of house maybe it could only be one chef…or just understaffed in general. Not sure, the waffle I got was bland but the chicken was DELICIOUS
