When you go out of your way to create the world’s tastiest sandwiches, people tend to go out of their way to get their hands on them. And it’s been like this since we opened the doors of the first TOGO’S in San Jose, California back in 1971. We made the meatiest, most delectable sandwiches around. And people formed lines out the door, anxiously awaiting their turn for taste bud nirvana. Today, people still go above and beyond to get our sandwiches. Because for many, you can never go too far for a TOGO.

Apparently their post hours both online and on the store front doesn’t matter to them. They close whenever they feel like not serving customers anymore.

A lady served us, didn’t get her name. She kept addressing me by babe and hunny. Got the new French Dip sandwich and it was barely toasted and the juice on the side was Luke warm not hot. The fountain soda had a very odd moldy smell to the drink. Quite expensive and not good at all.

I received today’s special, pastrami sandwich. The bread was burnt, the meat was fatty and not cooked well done although I asked for it to be cooked longer, the soda machine was out of seltzer and has no flavor although I reported it to the store. It seems that when a certain worker is working it’s always a problem with my food. I believe she is related to the owner.

Such a wonderful place to have a delightful and delicious lunch. The workers are oh so friendly and respectful…and not one word of slang! That is a plus in my book! It’s just soooooo tasty!

My visit was on 5/3/2023 Connie had started complaining to me about the day shift employees (who are Indians according to Connie), the day shift doesn’t refill the sauce bottles or the meat/vegetable bins. I didn’t go there to hear any complaints from the employees.

I use to go once a week as they “had” delicious hot pastrami sandwich for around $11. I went today and price for one sandwich jumped to $16 and they is no longer a generous portion of meat. So disappointed. The service was excellent.

I’ve been a regular customer for years and I’ve never had bad service from them. There’s a girl that always ignores me when I come in. I have to say something everytime. She has the worst service, so I stopped letting her take my order and asked for other workers to help me out. I’m giving two stars only because I had good service from a couple people. I’m always kind to them and I always tip when I come in, but for some reason the younger girls do not acknowledge the customers. I finally had to walk out because of the disrespect from this one worker and missed out on my dinner. It sucks that this is the only togos in Vallejo, I would definitely take my business elsewhere. Not happy.
