A good lunch spot. I ate on the porch in mid April, and it was sunny with a cool breeze. Service was friendly and efficient. I started with a cup of chicken and sausage gumbo. It arrived with big chunks of meat; however, the stock or broth wasn’t flavorable. Overall, it was OK. My colleagues ordered the fried cauliflower as a starter, and it had a nice spicy flavor but it wasn’t crispy. My entree was the seafood platter with fried shrimp and fries. A generous serving of shrimp, and I couldn’t finish all the fries. The shrimp was crispy and fried well. Prices were reasonable. I would come back for lunch.

The food was good! The cashier was very nice with us, in general the services was good, we ask 2 fish combos 3 cups of rice and beans that was delicious and 3 beers, was $75, the food come in baskets, I was waiting more fish than fries potatoes, but thats fine! Over the table you can try all the tabasco so this is very good! Thr menu in the entrance was very simple, I saw in google maps more options than what I saw in the menu.

The food is actually quite tasty; plus there’s an assortment of great hot sauces to try. The downside is the time it took to receive our order. They allegedly “lost” our meal, and we had to wait about an hour and a half in total to get the rest of our food. But hey, at least it tasted great.

Had a very fresh house salad for lunch, (with a side of chili) and decided to sit out back on the porch to enjoy the birds engaging in playful chirping over my meal. About 2 bites in, I noticed that taste of garden freshness starting to saturate my pallet, and let me tell you, I felt time shift to when this was how we used to eat. Very good service, gorgeous surroundings and great food. Will return. S/N: Scorpion sauce is not to play with! Grown man stuff there!

I had the trio sampler and it came with etoufee, gumbo, and red beans and rice. My husband had fried fish and shrimp. Both were absolutely delicious and yes I’m from southern Louisiana!

The food was so good. Spicy like it is supposed to be. We had the chili and the red beans and rice. I wish they had corn bread for the side, would have made the meal perfect. My only complaint is the seating was very limited and a whole section was corded off for a “private event” but nobody was sitting there. It was 93 degrees outside so sitting on the porch was not pleasant, especially eating spicy food. They had a couple of tour busses through so that added to the limitations. Also, they were out of pecan pie but maybe that is why you should get there earlier rather than later.

Not bad, kind of your classic tourist restaurant. Food is good, just not what you would call artisanal. Not a bad thing, just giving a description. It is cool that they have every brand of Tobasco you can find and maybe some that you can’t.

If you are trying to give out of towners a true South Louisiana food experience, I would find some place else. The prices are reasonable but most of the food is just mediocre. The crawfish pie was incredibly fishy yet had no crawfish in it.
