I love Moko! While it is not actually a hidden gem (they are consistently busy with takeout orders) the real gem is their restaurant itself! You can easily grab a table most nights and get to enjoy their delicious food and awesome wait staff. They always play good music as well! Their new truffle toro roll (pictured) is amazing and hopefully will stick around on their menu for a long time. Always a 10/10 at Moko.

Owners are sooo friendly, sushi is good quality and great value, restaurant itself is so cozy for eating in, take out is always super reliable! We ordered their Moko roll and it is supposed to be crab and scallop.The whole thing was fake crab. So we paid $14 for a spicy cauliflornia roll. Scam! And the miso soup was half full. We called to complain and they didn’t seem to care. The Penny pinching and lack of customer service left an awful taste in my mouth.

The sushi at moko is great! Love their spicy tuna specialty rolls and avocado salad. Atmosphere is quiet but cozy. Definitely not where you want to go on a night out. Overall, I would recommend for good sushi in Southie!
