We do an annual trip from Indianapolis and try to hit up local spots every time. This was our first time here- and added to our list of must-visits each time! The owner was incredibly sweet and approachable. The food was amazing and obviously made with care (lots of emphasis on fresh, authentic ingredients.) St. Joe is very charming, and this is one gem that adds to that charm. I hope he and his family is here for many years to come!

The owner and are real Thai people and of course food is authentic with friendly service. They bring fresh ingredients from Chicago. It’s now become Carry-out only restaurants after the covid pandemic but when you come to pickup food inside is very nice.

Always wonderful. Spicy mama is a favorite. The veggie potstickers are delicious and so is the sticky rice. Mmmm.

Quaint place with excellent Thai food. The owners are incredibly sweet and openly communicate challenges with being short staffed. The sign on door says carry out only but we dined in. When busy it may be carry out only. Either way, the food is delicious. Spicy Mama is very spicy and very delicious. Pad Thai is also great. Recommended for all who love Thai food. Authentic.

Food is great! Owner is great! No longer a sit-down restaurant therefore must order as takeout. Still, interested to try other stuff on the menu! The curry I ordered was very good!

What can I say about Ban Thai that hasn’t already been said? Not only is this the best Thai cuisine for hundreds of miles, but you will not find better hospitality and consideration at any restaurant around. Jimmy and his wife run a tight ship, providing incredibly fresh and flavorful dishes, as fast as humanly possible. You will not be disappointed by any dish; curry, fried rice or noodles, everything is exceptional. If you have a sweet tooth, don’t miss out on Thai Iced Tea to drink and mango sticky rice for dessert.

I tried mango and sticky rice, beef pad thai, and the chicken satay. It was all fast and delicious food. Jimmy was great and I will be eating there again!

From the moment you walk through the door the owner Jimmy made us feel so welcome and comfortable. Then, the food got to our table and it was flavorful. You could tell the food was made with love and he made sure to credit his talented wife.
