Don’t let looks fool you. This quaint sandwich shop is wonderful! We had the fried catfish sandwich and the Philly cheesesteak sandwich, both of which were awesome! The service was great as well. If you’re looking for a good place to eat that’s not a chain, you need to try out this establishment. We will definitely stop the next time we come through Sikeston.

The catfish dinner was pretty good. If the seasons were more flavorful this place would be wonderful. Prices are decent for 3 filet fish, waffle fries, hushpuppy, coleslaw, onion and pickle under 10 dollars. Very good price. Not to mention the service was great!!

I pick up lunch from Merricks at least twice a month. Last time I ordered, there was a misunderstanding and my order was not what I wanted. No biggie! I still ate it and thought I’d mention it this time when I ordered, just so it wouldn’t happen again. I got to the window and they wouldn’t let me pay. They said lunch was on them for their last mistake. So appreciated and so unexpected. Fire food is great, but excellent customer service is better! I’ll be back soon.

Not the best dining experience – but have had worse. Ordered a club sandwich & after I took a bite I could only see bacon, lettuce & tomato. About that time the hostess came around the corner & said I had the wrong sandwich. She swapped them out. Picked up the correct sandwich & mayo literally oozed out of all 4 sides of the bread. Literally had to wipe my fingers off after every bite as it just kept oozing. I like mayo – but this thing was drowning in it.
