Today I visited the maple tree. Upon entering I was greeted by a bar keep who politely asked me what I was drinking. I started with a water and browsed the menu. Since pretzels are my favorite snack, I decided to try it out, and underestimated the size of the JUMBO pretzel. It came with a solid portion of cheese and honey mustard. Deliciously buttered and salted. I washed it down with a margarita made with espolon, my favorite cocktail. A peaceful environment, quiet on a Tuesday afternoon, which is expected. Although I didn’t sit outside, The Maple Tree definitely has expansive outdoor seating. Thanks for having me!

Twenty dollars for poached eggs and medium well steak. You can see the eggs are clearly not poached, they’re totally hard boiled (without a shell). Mother’s day special?! Took forty five minutes for kids’ meals to arrive, with half of our meals, another ten for the rest of the meals. My daughter had to watch her cousins eat while she sat there hungry (because the kitchen can’t deliver food so at once?), another five for syrup. The”steak” is about five or six ounces BEFORE cooking. The medium well was a charcoal brick. The menu claimed fresh fruit and pastry with each, but the waitress claims simply, “No pastry!” Sorry, I asked about your menu. But it was busy! Nope… Not until we’d been here for an hour. This place needs to either not do this, or do it right. My wife, the MOTHER of my kids, on MOTHER’S day for A MOTHER’S day brunch, didn’t get her whole order. Repeatedly asked for her bacon. Perhaps the waitress will simply answer, “No bacon!” Doesn’t matter… Waitress is missing in action.

What a wonderful local place. Lisa is super knowledgeable, hospitable and gives amazing service. The menu is revamped, so many eclectic options. It’s the best restaurant if you’re not sure what you’re in the mood for and want to be pleasantly surprised.. The quality of food is super good. I am single and it’s also a comfortable place to go by yourself. No one bothers you. In fact there are a couple little boothettes, perfect if you want to read your book or just be private. There’s a regular, local crowd at the bar. They’re friendly, cool, connected among one another. Wednesdays, open mic is awesome fun Avec Talent!!! This place is absolutely wonderful. Entertainment, food, service, price ..best in the area.. I’m a foodie — and this is the best there is in the Simsbury / Granby area if you want to experience all the elements of a great dining experience. I should start a blog so I can prove it to you. I could. Maybe I will. Soon.

Maple Tree has a very nice outdoor dining setup. Good food and a nice selection of brews. The open mic every Wednesday is very well run and artists of all ages and genres are welcomed by the core set of regulars. You will hear a variety of classics and originals too.

Needed a quick lunch before a show and saw this place on line. Had less than an hour for lunch, sat at the bar and had great service and both meals were really really good! Extremely satisfied and wish we had more time to stay and relax. Will def go back next time we’re in town!
