The young man who I interacted with on the phone and when waiting to receive my meal (short wait for a carry-out place) was very pleasant and attentive.

I Was very unhappy with my order. The young guy at the front was such a great guy with a great personality and when I talk to the manager she told me I can get a refund right away so with that being said maybe they were having a bad day the jerk chicken did not taste like jerk chicken at all it just taste like some chicken with pepper on it, but maybe it’s something else that I have to try may be on the African side the food is great

I came across this restaurant when looking for authentic Caribbean and African cuisine and this restaurant delivered! I ordered their jerk chicken and oxtails and my husband ordered the curry chicken. The proportions are great and we had food for two days! The spice on the jerk chicken was phenomenal and it has been a while since I had jerk chicken with that spice! Definitely a restaurant to try and fall in love with! Staff is friendly, service was fast, and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. I loved the music they had playing and the decor is beautiful. I will be coming back to try their African dishes!

I took a bite of the rice and peas and went to my aunties kitchen! It was THAT good. (You can tell frm the half eaten plate in my picture) I got the jerk chicken meal and my husband got that curry chicken. My jerk chicken was a quarter piece of chicken- leg and thigh. Smothered in jerk seasoning. It came w/ rice and peas, Mac and cheese, and plantains. (I didn’t want the cabbage, but it normally comes w/ it) The curry chicken almost looks like oxtails due to the way the meat is cut. Taste was amazing there, but my husband said he could have used a few more pieces of chicken. The beef patties were well seasoned and coco bread was soft.

This is my third visit to this restaurant and honestly I didn’t want to rate my experience on the first and second time because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. I have tried 3 different items from the menu and they all taste nasty. The food taste like frozen burnt food microwaved. $17.50 wasted

This five pieces of plantain was worth 5 dollars. In other words she charged me a dollar for a slice. Her customer service was trash…she told me to go see at other restaurants how much the plantain is. Will never ever go there again. 2 whole plantains are a dollar at giant if you ask me. That’s why African need to take some classes before doing into business.

I go here at least once a week for the veggie platter. The customer service is always exceptional and the food is amazing. Fresh and made with love. The curried cabbage is heavenly but the mac and cheese is to die for. I have warmed it up two days later and it is still just as amazing as day one. Full of flavor not salty or bland, perfectly seasoned. A true gem in parkville!

The food is absolutely delicious. I just wish I could enjoy the soup and fufu but cant because its so spicy. Plus they are closed a lot it seems.

Had the fufu and okra soup and kanklo. Food was delicious, and large portions. The service was great. Only complaint is that the seating is limited.
