Went for lunch yesterday as it was our first time for our anniversary. Didn’t know it was a limited menu but we still started with mussels and tried the special pot roast. The mussels were average. My biggest issue was with the pot roast over whelming taste of red wine. It was not easy to eat with the wine taste over baring the meat like it wasn’t cooked down enough or not. My wife had the shrimp scampi but the noodles were not done at all. So for those reason we won’t come back and rated the places with two stars.

We wanted to have a nice meal for our 20th anniversary and didn’t want to drive far. I was super impressed that Dickson could pump out a fine dining place.

I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious EVERY part of my meal was while at Lugo’s! I started with the lasagna empanada which had the most perfect crust and filling! I am from NY and love authentic Puerto Rican empanadas so I was only sad that there wasn’t a traditional empanada available on the menu. Maybe next time! For my main course I had salmon that was cooked to perfection topped with a cranberry chutney and plated over spinach and a potato coconut cake. I am sure I am not describing it as beautifully as the menu did–but what’s important here is that every ingredient was amazing! I was too full for dessert but am certain I would not have been disappointed. The chef was also very friendly and came over to check in on how we were enjoying our meal. I wish him much success and hope you’ll take my word and stop by Lugo’s!

Amazing Dinner Tonight!! The Ribeye was juicy and flavorful. Grilled just right. Calamari was tender. My wife had the special and loved it. A type of fish/shrimp pasta with spicy red sauce! Delicious. Desert was perfect!

Lugo’s is one of the finest restaurants in TN. It is a Puerto Rican infused Italian restaurant that serves some very tasty dishes. The presentation is top notch and the flavor profiles explode on your taste buds like the fourth of July. I have enjoyed every dish I’ve eaten here, with my favorite being the Shrimp & Grits. The Salmon is my second favorite which is topped with a cranberry cabernet chutney that takes this dish to the next level. The dining experience here makes you feel like you are eating at a Michelin star restaurant. If you have the time, this is a great place to eat and take in the sight and shops of downtown Dickson.

Apparently there closed from Jun30-Jul6, witch wouldn’t be a problem but there website didn’t say closed. So its the first week in months me and my wife do not have kids and I wanted to try as another said “the best restaurant in Dickson.” Wast of gas, off to logans.
