My husband and I were looking for a quiet little family owned restaurant after a long drive. Both of us were tired and just wanted to relax. We “happened” on Bon Appetit and the exterior was so friendly it attracted us both. Callie was our server and she was so welcoming, even after what (we found later) was a very busy day. My husband ordered the special of the day, soup, salad and Peggy’s homemade chicken pot pie. He said it was wonderful. I had the Reuben sandwich, and it was also great–served with chips and a wonderful tomato-basil soup, it was a delicious and hearty late lunch–I took half of the sandwich home. We especially loved the clean and fresh décor (and matching plates) and friendliness of each of the staff. The owner, Peggy, was a delight to visit with. All of her pastries and baked goods are homemade, and she obviously treats her customers as she would like to be treated. We recommend Bon Appetit highly!

Great Breakfast on a Saturday morning! Sara and Patty (or Sarah and Patti) were awesome. I had the super deluxe breakfast. Added sauteed jalapenos, onions, and peppers to the hash browns. Perfection.

Sadly I’ll never be back. Soup was watery, tasted like progresso with too much liquid, salad was pretty and fresh but carrots were in such chunks I couldn’t chew them. The meat loaf was a hamburger steak with white gravy. No tomato sauce whatsoever. This is meatloaf??? The potatoes were delicious. The mini chocolate pie was horrible. The crust is hard and very thick. I couldn’t cut it with a knife. The meringue was dry and hard and came off pie in one piece. I couldn’t cut it either. My friend ordered a chicken salad sandwich and there was a 6 by 2 in piece of clear plastic in her sandwich.saran wrap maybe or part of a glove. They were kind and made her a new sandwich. They paid for our dessert. I thought they should have paid for the sandwich instead. We looked in the sandwich and there was a very thin layer of chicken– maybe a large tablespoonful. For the price of the sandwich, this is unthinkable. I have cooked and catered for the public for 40 some odd years so I know my way around a kitchen. I wish you much success with your business, it’s a tough one . Perhaps you would want to rethink a few of the items and be served one of your meals— you may look at it differently. I hope you continue for many years in your business
